The hotel is in the middle of Thamel, next door to your left you have the Kathmandu Guest House & to your right the Reggae Bar. Restaurants surround you & your Typical tourist souvenir shops also. The hotel locks the outer door after 22:00 & armed guards are stationed there 24 hours a day, which gives you an idea on how dangerous the place is after dark.
All the hotels have security.

There is a supermarket, a shop that sells carpets(Teppiche) a tourist shop & 3 restaurants all within the grounds of the hotel, oh, & money exchange also.
The food in the hotel itself was ok but you can get better & cheaper food just across the street.
The hotel boasts an elavator but due to the electricity restrictions, its not really of any use... & seriously they do have restrictions, every day at least 8 hours there is no electricity, so do take that into consideration.
Fortunatly there was hot water when ever we needed it & the personel was very nice as well, they will try to sell you their excursions but they are no way as bad as those people on the street thats for sure...if asked wether I would go back to this hotel? My answer would be NO, because I have no intention of ever going back to THAMEL!! BUT if this hotel were outside the city? Then yes, absolutely!!

I stayed there for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although it was a bit noisy, no problem to stay there. The hotel is just in a central location so we can go anywhere. I would love to stay here when i come to kathmandu again! thanx!

We booked this hotel online, based on reviews. It was our first time travelling to Nepal, and staying here eased the transition. The first and most important thing for me was the airport pick-up. It was efficient and on time, and saved us from that first awkward contact with taxi drivers in an unknown country.
The room itself was minimalist but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and reasonably diverse, fresh eggs and milk on the rooftop terrace - even during morning rain.
The hotel manager and staff are very friendly and willing to assist and give you tips about visiting Kathmandu, no hidden agendas although I think they have their own travel agency as well. Ask them about taxi or rickshaw fares, or about travelling times between places and best places to eat.
The location is quite central, at the heart of Thamel.

Room Tip: Should you prefer a quiet room, I recommend the ones without a balcony. Although having a balcony is...

It is located in the center of Thamel, so it can get a bit noisy but that didn't bother us. Room was pretty big and very clean, with a great balcony overlooking Thamel. Location is great. Hot water 24/7. Service is good, very helpful with arranging sight seeing and such. It is a bit more expensive than your average guesthouse, but well worth it.
One negative thing: in our bathroom, when the shower was on, everything got wet (toilet and such). And stayed wet for a day. Maybe placing a shower curtain between toilet en shower would be a good idea.
But overall, we recommend a stay here.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I booked this hotel through booking.com. The staffs are friendly and always ready to do serve. All smiling. The best thing with the hotel is its location. The great restaurants, shops and stores are in eye-sight distance. The hotel also has got its own roof top restaurant which can be a perfect place for winter days. I recommend them as a great hotel.

I liked this hotel. Excellent location, staff very friendly. And it is adjacent to anything we want from supermarkets to nightlife...
The outside of the hotel is very very noisy, but this is not an issue since all hotel's windows glass are double glass.
Hotel is clean, but unlike other hotels, you need to ask them to clean your room at the reception instead of they doing it by their own.
Free wifi reaches room very strong.
I highly recommend this hotel.
