Great place for people watching, like most of the Thamel area, but comfortable inside with good service. I had a full breakfast with coffee and a soft drink on the way out, all for 250 rupees, really good!

Thank Scott B

Staying for some days in Kathmandu, this restaurant was our top favorite: for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner. This was a great alternative to our hotel's restaurant, which was expensive with poor food & service.

The huge menu made us suspicious towards freshness or preparing time. but any time (8 times?) when we stopped here, we were pleasantly surprised, cause of extraordinary delicious food for very low cost. Lots of different dishes (e.g. great chicken curry/tikka masala/..., fresh momos vegetable/cheese/..., sweet&sour chicken, ... , sandwiches, clean washed salads, ...) will serve everybody tasteful and rich food.

Including beverage it was hard to spend more than 500 rupiehs p.p. (about 4€, including tax&service).

Location itself is small, but it is clean, even tables are wet cleaned after every guest. You prefer sitting outside? If Thamels streets are not too noisy for you, you may sit in front of the restaurant.

We had even lunch and dinner in other locations during travelling and sightseeing. but this is the only restaurant i can really recommend.

This place touts Nepalese, Chinese, Italian and several more cuisines. The menu is indeed large, prices very moderate. If you are from the west you will not want to see the kitchen or the dishwashing operation. Also beware...dishes listed as "a little spicy" probably taste that way if you are from Delhi, but westerners will find the spicy food very spicy indeed. Good value here for the money. The place was packed so the servers were a bit overwhelmed it seemed.

After popping in to Mitho a couple of times for drinks, a friend and I attended one of their Momo cookery classes which was truly excellent. K.B and his wife Isha made it great fun and were very patient teachers, I'm looking forward to trying to recreate the Momos at home for friends and family. I'll be back in Kathmandu in a few days and will definitely be popping in to say hello to this lovely family and have some lunch there. Highly recommended.
