I had stay with my Friend from 15-18Nov'13, This Hotel is Very Good According to Payment, Food is on Average, Staff is Having Good Sense of Hospitality, Being a Travel Agent I was Happy with Amenities, But if you are shopping Lover & Love to Visit Various Places of City then you have Take Taxi Everytime Hotel is Quite Far away from Tourist Places

Stayed here on the last night of our three tour of Nepal. The entrance and lobby give an initial good first impression. This ends when you actually register and see the rest of the building.
The elevator is very small and slow with confusing up/down buttons. The rooms are clearly showing their age. Hot water was very limited, if existent at all. The sheets were dingy and had large holes/rips in them. Wifi was available, but had to be paid for. There are surely better hotels in Kathmandu for the money. At the morning breakfast buffet, we could not get the staff to even look at us, much less bring us coffee or tea.

Booked this hotel on line and was slightly surprised. It is out of the
way of the extreme poverty of Katmandu in a quiet neighborhood.
Did not book a standard tour but booked a tour guide for a
personalized tours of the city. The hotel is a three (3) star hotel
at best. It is quite comfortable with a business centre for internet
access. Buffet breakfast was nice and simple and many western
dishes. Stayed three nights and was pleasantly relaxing.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the hotel are quieter because it abuts a hospital.

The hotel while not bad was also not good. It's a fairly large hotel (for Kathmandu) with about 100 rooms, however is aging and would struggle to qualify as an international 3-star standard business hotel. The hotel was very busy on the 1 night I stayed there as they had a large group checked in. The buffet breakfast the next morning was the most chaotic I have ever seen a breakfast buffet, and the food was somewhat below average.

The room was comfortable, however a few lights did not work, and the door lock did not work well. And this was in a suite since I got upgraded as they were full. Someone from my group had awful bed bug bites her whole body the next day. I had a few small red swellings on my legs as well although I'm not sure if mine were mosquito bites or bug bites.

If you want WiFi you'll have to pay, something like 400 rupees for 24 hours although you can also buy an hour's worth.

I have tried to be open-minded about hotel expectations given that this is Nepal, however I do think it's important for travelers to share candid comments with each other given that there are so many small hotels in Kathmandu and hardly any of the usual chain or recognizable international brand name hotels, making it difficult to select a hotel.

I stayed here as part of a group and package so don't know how much the hotel charged us, however I gather from the rack rates that they aren't cheap and you could definitely get much better, and much better value, elsewhere.
