Worst hotel & Pathatic hospitaity by hotel staff & Manager.
Dont go for it.
Poor interiors & dark colors in rooms.
Very bad bathrooms & no lift available.
food quality & taste is good but menu is very bad.

Room Tip: go to another hotel instead of this or go to Nagarkot if there is a plan to stay 2-3 days in Kathman...

Moving into the hotel was a nightmare. When we arrived, they didn't even know that we had bookings. We paid for a deluxe room but they constantly insisted to give us standard rooms. The manager, over the phone didn't even want us to talk to our travel agent to sort things out. We asked for their rates and they couldnt even provide us with anything. It was incredibly frustrating. We had to walk to our travel agent to sort things out, to their surprise, we should have indeed have a deluxe room assigned. Room was dingy and stuffy. Furniture and appliances were ancient. Sheets were clean though. No bottled water. Hot water was intermittent. We asked if there was a schedule for hot water and they told us it was avaialable 24/7. It was a lie. The first few hours we were using candle light. Their wifi was broken for 90% of our stay. They didnt care. Bath tub was rusty. Location is unpleasant. Kitchen was dirty and breakfast lacked variation. If you want to waste money and ruin your stay, book this hotel. There are a lot of hotels in thamel with a similar price range that gave out better services and rooms!!! It's 22 years old, it has surely passed its prime. I wonder how they cajole customers to book in their hotel. Horrid experience.

This was my worst experience in a hotel that claims to be a 3 star property. Very non co-operative staff. Rooms were gloomy and extremely shady. Pathetic breakfast with no choices. Bathrooms were dark and brown brackish water came from the taps. Not a single mineral water bottle served in the room. Beds were very uncomfortable and blankets given were very thin comparable to the cold. No room heater was available. TV was of 1990 which was a 8 inches portable colour TV. All in all if you want to spoil your holiday go for this hotel else avoid. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed with the service.

We stayed there for one night as part of an organised trip. On first impression, the hotel is lovely - in the lobby. Plenty of room and seats and free wifi.
Our room wasnt ready when we checked in but it only took them10 minutes to get it done.
The room was cold dark and dank. No proper light in the bathroom-you'd have to have a shower in relative darkness! The bed was like bricks (although to be honest, most of the beds we had in Nepal were like bricks) and had 1 sheet and 2 thin blankets, we were freezing all night and i slept in my socks, leggings and fleece. The sheets had really dodgy stains on them too. A very uncomfortable night.
We didnt bother trying the shower in the morning as the water was cold and brownish.
Restaurant food was ok but expensive for what it is.
On a plus note, its really close to Durbar Square and a short walk from the markets.

Spent a week after a trek. Room are spacious and clean. Breakfast is a buffet with a chef cooking your eggs on demand. Very good. The manager is very nice and his staff is very helpful. We had an early departure for an Everest Flight (before breakfast service) and they fixed us a breakfast box which we picked up at the reception at 5am. In the box was croissants, boiled eggs and fruits an excellent meal.

Room Tip: Air conditioning is available on request, but ceiling fan in other rooms are sufficient for a good n...

There are better hotels in Kathmandu for roughly the same price. The hot water was uncertain, but the room was spacious and clean. Everything looks rather run down as well. It's not too far from Thamel but in a nondescript location. We changed to a different hotel for only $10 per night more and had a much better experience there.

I had traveled with 18 friends in Feb. 2012 to Kathmandu via Chitwan and Pokhara. We had bookings for two night and three days. On the day one itself, I was mad at the hotel staff. The rooms were dirty and there was no hot water and also no power. We were informed that there was no power and the generator had some problem. We had to leave within couple of hours for Everest Plane ride and we left. After three hours also the DG Set was not repaired and only by evening for just 1-2 hours the DG set was switched ON. Food was bad. All cold and tasteless. Will never recommend it to anybody. Its close to Thamel and unfortunately for us, the Kathmandu police had sealed the Thamel area due to law and order problem. Over All bad experience.

Room Tip: Don't go to this place with family.
