I recently stayed in this new ish hotel. The room was clean (tiny but clean). There was a problem with electricity so there was no heating in some of the rooms - mine included. However the staff went out of their way to ensure we all had extra blankets in our rooms (I was travelling with colleagues). The breakfast was blah (not great, not bad). The staff were all friendly. The rooms were not very quiet - either the other guests were slamming their doors in the middle of the night or the stairwell echoes! You could hear people talking (sounded like shouting), slamming doors - waking me up during the night. Overall I would rate it average. It was easy walking distance to Thamel (around 15 minutes) and I would suggest you have a torch or use your phone for walking back at night because it is quite dark if the power is off. I stayed in a twin room which was tiny but comfortable with good bathroom amenities. I needed to burn incense in my room because the smell from mothballs was overpowering - I found them hidden in the bottom shelf of the wardrobe and quickly got rid of them! There was only one morning where there was not hot water...I think given it is fairly new they are getting things sorted out hence the average score.
