The best of this hotel are the nice gardens, that help you to relax, from the crowed and polutied dowtown Kathmandu. Also, hace Nice Indian/Nepali food in the restaurant.
Very very poor internet conection.
The Spa is nice and with nice treatments.
Next to the hotel - at walking distance- is the temple of the sleeping Vishnu BudhaNilkantha. nice walking from hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel has many different kinds of rooms, I choose one very nice it is a kind of cottage, facing...

I came there with my famity and we booked two rooms during our stay here: A standard room at Nalanda Wing & a Deluxe/Super deluxe room at Hamilton. Couldn't fault the Hamilton deluxe room - it was like being back home- nice, clean, comfortable, warm.Food is tasty but breakfast buffet is not a good spread with very limited choices for a place like Kathmandu. Recommended for nice amenities and greenery.A part from that they provide spa services, sauna, gym, swimming free of cost for the in house guest. we had a wonderful stay at this resort. we will surely visit this place again and again.

What a place!
It could have been a lovely place but it is soooooo overdone that it ends up kitsch and funny.
It is out of Kathmandu so many may find the location bad; there are few thing close by especially a National park and a couple of temples; one Hindu temple and a Tibetan monastery
But the garden! Oh the garden; it is large and with some pretty mature trees but it is full of statues, signs, boards, gazebos, kitsch lanterns and fountains...Oh God!
There are so many types of rooms and suites and appartments that I don't think a review would be helpful...mine was a huge, semi-clean flat; humongous!
Food is tiring...after some days you feel fed-up...

I have stayed in many hotels in the Kathmandu vicinity over the years and this is by far the best. Although less than a half hour commute to downtown Ktm (and they provide a shuttle bus to get there and back every day) you get to breath in the fresh air from Shiva Puri National Park nearby, enjoy the gentle sounds of nature, not machines, swim in a fabulous pool, workout in a new health club, enjoy delicious buffets, and take walks along meandering pathways to private gardens where you can just sit, read, watch the many varieties of birds, or simply meditate. What a joy to have found such a place near Kathmandu! Highly recommended.

Be careful, travelers! This hotel is not really like how they advertise it. In fact, staying here is more fulfilling than what you'll see in its website and in the media. As a whole, it is much better than the sum of its parts. You'll find the facilities you will not have expected from a hotel so far from the city and a biodiversity you will not have expected from a place so close to the city. Even if you don't want to stay overnight, just go get some workout at one of the cleanest swimming pools in town and don't forget to check out the traditional Nepali Thali. It's hard for me to have a more idyllic experience at any other place in K-town.

Room Tip: Before you choose a room, you may want to talk to the staff about your specific requirements.

Reading good reviews about this place from the internet , we decided to book rooms in this hotel . But we were left disappointed . Due to some problem between our booking agency Make my trip and this hotel , We were made to suffer. The manager refused to contact makemytrip and forced us to resolve the issue .

They gave no consideration to the fact that we were two young girls travelling on our own . They refused to even accommodate us at first , but later agreed only when we "promised" to settle the bill from our pockets if the problem wasn't resolved.

This kind of behaviour seemed very unethical .
We were not treated properly the first day . And we were given a very standard room , even though we had paid for a cottage room , there wasn't even tea and A/c facility in our room.

And even after the problem was resolved between the two parties, we were not shifted to the room promised to us. This was indeed very disheartening . But we did not let that dampen our spirits .

The place is beautiful though, good for taking a week end off and relaxing . but I would suggest to rather opt for another hotel which would provide cheaper rooms offering the same facilities :)

Room Tip: It must have been our misfortune , but a little help, kindness and politeness from the staff would...
