We only spent one night in the Fuji Hotel, but it's nothing special for the cost. Nice sized room, but shower drain not working, and then the knob that controls the shower pulled off in my hand - lucky I had my Swiss Army knife and used the pliers. Pillow on my bed was hard, unyielding. Staff is average, rarely smiling and seem overworked. Did not eat here, but menu seems tired.

Only stayed for 1 night whilst on a G Adventure holiday. We were given a very large, immaculate bedroom on the 6th floor.Lovely views from the roof top gardens.Worth going up in the morning to watch the sunrise. Staff were very helpful and hotel is in a handy location .Wi Fi available in the lobby and bedrooms.
Would stay again.

I spent two nights in Fuji Hotel. The first night I got a room on the 2nd floor which is just so so. The second night I got a room on the 5th floor which is very good with clean sheets and blanket, comfortable bath room and great view. The stuff there are very welcoming. The hotel is in a good position in Thamel. Their breakfast is good. There is a little garden on the top roof. You can get a great view of the whole city. I enjoyed just sitting there and drinking beer in the evening, very quiet and very lovely.

Room Tip: The rooms on 5th, 6th, 7th floors are good quality with great views.

We stayed at this hotel after our friend in the tourism industry managed to get us a special rate. This hotel is nice, very clean and the staff are friendly. I don't know that I would pay full price to stay here even though it is clean and safe.

This hotel doesnt have a fantastic good scene through windows. But the room is old but quite tidy.
Bathroom provides hot water.
The location of this hotel is quite good! I visited most landmarks from this hotel.
It provides wifi and free pickup from airport, which are very convent to me!!

If your budget is quite limited, then choose Fuji.

I stayed here for a gadventures tour for a few nights. Well located in Thamel. The room was average, spartan perhaps but clean. Breakfast was fine. I used the hotel services for a few things, including left luggage and arranging taxis. All in all I found the service polite. The Japanese owner was also around for a chat in the lobby throughout my stay. Free wifi was good. I had a balcony to my room which was nice. For the price and service the hotel is good and I would return.

after reading such good reviews, i was a bit disappointed. started off on the wrong foot at the airport when i was met with a sign (good!) and 2 people, one who was from the hotel and the other i thought was as well, so handed my bag to him as i arrived at the car. he literally only placed it in the car for me then proceeded to harass me for tips. the driver got in the car and the other man did not, at which point it dawned on me that this was some random dude. i refused at first because all he did was place the bag in the car (not even carry it from the airport) and would have expected the driver to say something to help me out but he didn't and proceeded to wait til i handed over some money which at midnight after a long flight is annoying to say the least. anyway, the hotel itself is nothing special ... basic, old. no hot water either at night when i arrived nor the morning when i woke up. unsure why it has such great reviews.... only good thing is that the tourist buses leave from not too far away.
