Convenient location and nice hotel in quiet area of Thamel. We were traveling in a group and stayed this January before our Langtang trekking. We had a great trip in Nepal and the stay in the hotel was very enjoyable. Staff were always eager to help, very friendly and smiling all the time. We stayed in a room on third floor facing the street. It seems the rooms were remodeled and the tainted glass in the front made the room relatively quiet and sunny during morning. The room also had bath tub, where we soaked in hot water, a very relaxing feeling after long trek. My only complain is the lack of elevator, we had to climb stairs. We will come again next year for Everest trek and make sure to stay in this hotel. The hotel also has a beer garden between the main building and new anex building. We enjoyed cold beer with free wifi!

Room Tip: Street facing rooms are remodeled and quiet.

Had a wonderful, clean and comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. We stayed in cottage or cabin type of room with wooden flooring in the fourth floor. The wooden flooring gave a nice fragrance, a very surprising discovery in the downtown of Thamel. The room also had private access to its own private garden which was always sunny in the early morning. We always get hot and cold running water. It was adequate for us.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with wooden floor, it is very nice or if you can, ask for cottage room on the 4th floo...

I really liked staying here. Having stayed at a couple of other places I was very impressed with the location and price of this place. More than anything though, I ended up staying here for nearly a month because I really liked the staff...always smiling...happy to help out. The rooms were clean and although I wouldn't recommend mine to guests (Rm 402) as it is near the staff kitchen and can thus be very loud in the morning and evening...I loved it for the view of the mountains.
I would stay here again and recommend it to those wanting a cheap, clean room, with little to no noise from the main street, yet, still being in the middle of everything.

Room Tip: Rooms ner the top (4th floor...get a lot of noise from staff, but have excellent views of the mounta...

This is a well-run family-owned hotel in Thamel. The ideal place to stay when exploring Kathmandu or resting before and/or after trekking. All excursions can be arranged by the owner of the hotel. The service is excellent and pickup transport to/from airport are taken care of. No dinner arrangement in the hotel but several excellent hotels and restaurant for dinner within walking distance. The hotel has a small breakfast/beer garden for resting and planning your stay/excursions. Clean room, toilet, shower , hot water enough and quiet nights. Some rooms have private balcony for reading and working. Wi-Fi available. Excellent price value.

Paid $25 per night including breakfast, hotel is on the edges of thamel, but still only a few hundred metres from the centre. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, hot water plentiful and we also had a lovely verandah outside our room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was awful, (oily plain omelet, dry bread and strange jam)

The hotel is situated in the center of Kathmandu near tourist zone. The hotel is equipped by average standart, not very clean, but its breath is typical Nepal. Price was around 10 USD for night. It is very good occasion to know domestic spirit. There is no restaurant, but in the vicinity you may find many possibilities for catering.

I had a great stay at this family run hotel in Kathmandu. The location in Thamel is perfect: a quiet part of town but still just a walking distance away from all the tourist activities. Above all I liked the personal attention given to me. Rooms were clean with air condition: a luxury in this part of the world. I stayed in a room with attached bathroom. I believe all of their rooms have attached bath. There is no elevator in the hotel, so I had to walk the stairs to the forth floor where I was staying in a single room. Its not a bad thing at all considering I was in Nepal for trekking anyway. The view of the surrounding green forested mountains and the monkey temple is just amazing. I also liked their small beer garden and the roof top patio right on the forth floor. I would definitely stay in this hotel when I am back for some more adventures in Nepal.
