We stayed at SVIP from March 6th to 11th 2013.
It was one of the best places we have stayed during our many travels.
With just a short walking distance from the Phewa Lake and all the lakeside shopping and restaurant area, makes it an ideal place for travelers to stay even if it is for just one night. Bishnu and Yuvaraj who run this Inn create a true “home away from home” feeling with their extraordinary friendliness and thoughtful service to all their guests. Bishnu’s prompt and information loaded e-mails tremendously helped us to shape this trip into a smooth one. Prompt pick up and drop off at the airport helped keep up with our tight itinerary. The facility was clean and bustling with satisfied guests. Lively conversations at the break fast table and in the balconies made the stay a very memorable one. We stayed at the roof top room and with its adjoining open terrace; the most breathtaking view of the Machapucha and Annapoorna snow covered peaks were only a step away. The open terrace has small tables and chairs for guests to enjoy the views and exchange their travel stories. The entire Inn has a special charm with its décor surrounded by local flora. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. Internet connection was always available and excellent. As strict vegetarians the close by Marwadi hotel was a great plus to the location. Pokhara-micro-bus stop is just a few yards from SVIP. Our heartfelt thanks to Bishnu and his team for their hospitality, efficiency and pleasant manners. We cannot think of a better place to stay in Pokhara and highly recommend it to all future travelers.

No better place to stay and organise treks. Bishnu is a very friendly and easy to coordinate with. We had 3 nights at this hotel and paid a tiny bit more for the top rooms which are lovely.
We had a lovely trek to poon hill which was very professional. We went with a guide called Lela who I would happily reccomend. Breakfast was served outside on the 2nd level or bottom floor in garden and that was lovely! Best yogurt and museli and pancakes ever!
Stayed here 14 years ago and apart from moving just down the road nothing has changed. Showers were great. All in all a superb place to stay with friendly people and great price!

Can't wait to come back!!

We had room 14 on the top floor and it was superb for us. The room and bathroom were big. What made the room was the very big terrace with very nice plants and lots of different birds particularly for an hour or so after sunrise. There was our own personal table and chairs outside our door and other tables and chairs on the terrace which did not intrude on our space. Every morning the mountains appeared to put on a display for us as we had coffee and watched the sun rise across and over them. It was well worth getting up for at 06.30 for this
The service was very good. Bishnu looked after us extremely well. He organised the reasonably priced trip up to Sarangkot to see the sunrise. The only downside was that they could have more pro-actively asked us if we wanted our room cleaned and changed as we stayed 7 days but I guess we should have asked them. Also the double bed was not comfortable. The mattress was too soft. I ended up sleeping in the single bed for 6 nights out of 7.

Pay the extra price for a top floor room

Room Tip: Pay the extra price for a top floor room. The views are spectacular

We stayed here in March 2013 before and after a 3-day trekking and the whole place is wonderful: Great food, hot water, very clean rooms as well as a very friendly and helpful staff!
Also very handy and I think exceptional in Pokhara: The menu is 'the price you see is the price you pay'.
We also stayed in Sacred Valley Inn Kathmandu and this is equally fantastic with the same menu and same friendliness staff!

Amazing hostel! The staff are very welcoming and friendly, happily willing to help with whatever you may need. Stayed here for 12 nights February/ March time and have been treated extraordinarily well, the rooms are clean, even the communal bathroom is sparkling and there is a constant supply of toilet paper (which is a luxury when travelling). One of the best things about this hostel are the staff; they never fail to make you smile or laugh and try to accommodate you as much as possible without being pushy whatsoever, which is a rare thing when you're staying in budget hostels generally.
The rooftop terrace is also a bonus, lovely to sit and read a book in the sun and overlooking the mountains.
All in all, this hostel is fantastic and I would most definitely stay here time and time again!

This is my fourth stay in Sacred Valley Inn - have been coming here since 2005.

The hotel has clean, spacious, carpeted rooms and many have balconies. The food is of a very high standard, and the hotel operates a policy on pricing for both its menu and its rooms where service charges and taxes are included in the price, meaning that what you see really is what you pay - and what you pay is always reasonable.

It is a budget hotel and so guests wanting in-room TVs, round-the-clock power or any other items which are always luxuries in Nepal's hotels should look elsewhere. If you've stayed in budget accommodation in Nepal however, you will find that Sacred Valley Inn's facilities are of a much higher standard than those you can expect anywhere else in this bracket.

The staff are warm and welcoming too: they will do everything they can to offer help and advice on how best to spend your time in Pokhara, while at the same time, I have never felt pushed by them towards any particular activity or provider. To put it another way, help is offered but not forced, leaving those who wish to explore alone, alone!

Our stay was at the beginning and end of our trek into the Anapurna range. The biggest benefit we got from the stay was the amazing welcome and assistance in planning our trip. The staff arranged a car to take us to and from the trail head, an amazing guide (who's name sounded like "Golkan"?), equipment we were missing but was recommended by them (e.g. liner and a heavy sleeping bag), and overall tourism info.
Of course, as someone already said, the price can only go so far. This is not a very comfortable stay, but it's also not uncomfortable. Some things can be done to make the experience better. For example, the doors have huge gaps that allow you to hear everything that's going on in the hallway. This can be fixed.

Room Tip: The ground floor is not recommended, as you will hear all the noise/talk from the check in desk.
