Very pleasant stay in August 2013. The hotel is well located (5 min walk from the lake), in a very quiet place, very clean, with a beautiful garden.
Big rooms, some with balcony, decorated in a simple, but beautiful rustic style.
Good breakfast.
Helpful staff.
Internet works in the reception area, but not in all the rooms.

stayed here before and after a nine day trek, awesome and special place. By far our best accommodations in Nepal. Quite and secluded location, maybe a tad too far from the center of town, but still an easy walk or cheap cab ride. Fantastic design, the architecture and construction are first rate. The rooms are spacious and evoke a rustic modern vibe. Really quite special.
Service was understated and efficient. Breakfast was always good.
Highly recommend without hesitation. Enjoy!

Friendly staff. Good location and the in the offseason we were only two of 6 guests.

Our Deluxe Room #105 was spacious, comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water.

Food was pretty good but many options are nearby.

Bring your mosquito repellent; can be buggy. And, be sure to rent a bike and see beyond the trekker part of town.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room -- lots of light.

I'm an expat living in Nepal and have been to Pokhara many many times since 2006. I've been back to Mum's Garden Resort on a number of occasions, with my husband, mother and friends. I have never been disappointed, or found somewhere to beat this hotel.

With only 12 rooms, it is a peaceful getaway from the big organised tour groups, and caters to families, couples and small groups.

Situated off the main road and further down lakeside, you are away from the noise, but within walking distance of cafes and a variety of restaurants to suit any taste/requirement.

Plus points:
Naturally aesthetic architecture - Japanese style
Clean spacious and light rooms - cool in the summer but cosy in the winter
Complimentary water and fruit in your room
Bathtub and shower with hot water
Beautiful green courtyard to relax and read a book, sup a beer or tea
Exceptionally helpful/friendly staff and owners - nothing is a bother for them
Hearty breakfasts
Peaceful setting
Great mountain views

Downside:
Not much really
They only have single beds, which can be off putting for those that want a romantic getaway!

I highly recommend this place for holiday makers, trekkers or those of you wanting to escape KTM city life for a few days.

Mom's Garden Resort is the kind of place you fall in love with right away. The inn is itself quietly tucked away off a side street off the main road, approx 1km away from the main tourist strip - a comfortable 10-15 minutes walk. Within the hotel is a nice little garden courtyard which extends from the onsite restaurant - this is a peaceful shaded spot to enjoy your breakfast in the morning. The rooms are new, spacious and very well maintained. No air-conditioning in mine, but there was a ceiling fan that cooled the room perfectly. The toilet was clean and had hot water - but there's nothing like waking up to a cold shower in Nepal! Although there was electricity load-sharing (when the power goes out for a couple of hours every day), it's not a big deal, and this is Nepal after all. Best of all, the staff were warm, cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended!

This hotel was great. Really good food, rooms very clean, quiet and the outside of the hotel was extremely clean as well. Excellent location and the host and staff were very, very helpful. Great view of the sunset over the mountains from the roof!

We were before and after our trekking trip in this hotel. Very quite, clean and good service. Especially the staff and the owners are friendly. Good breakfast.
The toilet had a little bit bad smell, but we had no hotel in Nepal, were this wasn't. In the room you smell nothing of it.
