“Relative luxury at a more than manageable price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

If this hotel was in a western country, my review would be very different. But it's not. It's in Nepal. What sets Nepal apart (and this hotel is no different), is the people. They are extremely friendly, helpful and simply, happy.

Having just walked the Annapurna Circuit in The Himalayas, I was keen to get back to Pokhara and to check in to a hotel where I could find somewhere to relax, rest my weary feet and watch the 2014 World Cup. I fell (if you'll excuse the pun) totally on my feet here. For Pokhara (or Lakeside to be specific) this is by no means a budget hotel. However, it has a very comfortable double bed, fridge, television with cable networks, air conditioning and a western style toilet and private bathroom. I was also able to negotiate a price which included a light breakfast, too, each morning. I stayed for a month. That itself probably tells a story about the relative comfort.

When you step out of the hotel complex and into the street, you are right in the middle of 'Lakeside'. In Pokhara, this seems to be the hub of all activity, so I was able to find and access all that I needed.

In short, if you are prepared to pay what you'd pay for a very cheap western hotel, then this is the place for you. It is absolutely smack bang in the middle of everything and the hygiene is great. If you decide to stay, I've no doubt you'll enjoy it. Lovely people, nice, clean, comfortable room, close to all the attractions.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms are the most luxurious, the ground floor the most basic.

We staid at the Hotel Travel-Inn for one night before we did a 4-day loop trek. The hotel is ~15-20min taxi drive away from the airport and ~5min walking from the main bar/restaurant/shopping street Lakeside Road. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are large and clean.

I certainly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was in the perfect location for two young travelers in pokhara. Price was excellent for what was provided !! Staff go above and beyond to cater to your every need including sacrificing their own personal umbrellas if you need to go out in the monsoon and don't have one at the time. We have already booked our return here and would recommend room 101 on the ground floor as it is constantly shaded and therefore cool all day long.

The Hotel Travel Inn is nestled in central lakeside of Pokhara, which happens to be an optimal spot to take a break after a long trek or if you happen to be arriving from the mad dash of Kathmandu. Just a minute walk down the street and you have instant access to lakeside bars/restaurants, shopping and live music. The Hotel Travel Inn offers rooms for different budgets. I stayed in 4 different rooms during my time in Pokhara. Each room was beyond comfortable and offered a hot shower, security, wifi and privacy. If you choose to include breakfast in your room price, you have several options to choose from and each option is delicious and you can sit and eat in their beautiful courtyard garden. When you head out for a trek and decide not to take all your belongings with you, they offer a safe place for you to leave everything. My favorite thing about staying at the Hotel Travel Inn was getting to chat with the staff everyday…it was very sad to say goodbye because they honestly treat you like family and make your stay very comfortable. The hotel is also great at arranging activities for you, whether it's helping you find a guide for your trek, booking your paragliding flight over Fewa Lake from Sarangkot, rafting adventures in one of the many rivers of Nepal…the list goes on! After being in Nepal for 8 weeks, I met many people who were on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th visit to Nepal/Pokhara…it seems to be a place people can't get enough of. I know I will return soon and I will definitely go back to the Hotel Travel Inn!

1st time here, i like the way they treated us. They give us a nice room.
Electricity is always a usual problem in Nepal.
But free wifi & water no problem.
The place is not far from main road, central of tourist area, in lakeside and quiet.

Located in lakeside, but 200m from the main street, this place is just the right choice : quiet, super clean (very pleasant when you just got back from trekking), bed very confortable, hot water, wifi, breakfast (tea/coffee/toasts/muesli or two eggs any style), well located and very nice staff. For two people, the room was 2200NPR, equivalent to 20$ /night. Cheapper room were also available.

I stayed at Hotel travel Inn for a few days. The staff were very helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The rooms and the surroundings were kept very clean and in great condition. The hotel is situated in a great location with staff available to organise tours or a taxi within minutes. I cannot finish without mentioning the food which was excellent. Highly recommended and will surely be back !
