“Glad to have booked this hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

When the taxi arrived close to the surrounding area, I said to my wife, "how nice if we had booked this hotel". And the taxi stopped right in-front of it....

The room is exceptionally clean, comfortable and with sufficient hot water for bath. It's around 5 to 10 minutes walk to lakeside where everything (eating/drinking, shopping, motorbike/bicycle renting, tour/ticket booking) happens here. Bam, the hotel owner and his family are very helpful and seem to know and able to help organize everything in Pokhara. So, do not hesitate to ask them for assistance.

Room Tip: Room 307 (top floor mountain view) or 306 (top floor lake view).

Lovely family hotel that is not situated on the busy hotel street in Pokhara. The owner and his family are really kind and genuinely want to help you have a great holiday. The rooms are large and the place is always tidy. Go here if you come to Pokhara and you will not be disappointed!

We recently spent four nights in this family-run hotel. The price was extremely reasonable. The staff/owners were very polite and friendly, and offered us advice on our activities whilst in Pokhara and provided luggage storage. The rooms (including the bathroom) was clean and secure. There was good hot water in the shower and the bed was comfortable too. The location is only a few dozen meters from the main tourist shopping street, which came in very handy. Restaurants, grocery stores, and souvenir stores are all within a very short stroll. The only downside to this accommodation is that the alley it's on is not lit at night. But there is generally a restaurant open in the alley until quite late, so it feels safe. I would stay there again, gladly.

Hotel Diplomat is located in lake side area, just 5 minutes by walking to the Fewa lake. and you can find everything near here, like restuarant, bar, souvenir shop, supermarket, motorbike or bicycle renting.
it is running by a warm family. you can feel very comfortable as in your home. The family is very kind and friendly, they can give you many travelling advice of Pokhara, and they can also help you to book the bus ticket、paragliding, and so on.
the room is very clean, with toilet and wifi, and you can be lazy on the balcony.
the second time I went Pokhara, I choose to stay in this hotel again without thinking. I think i will also stay here when the third time I come to Pokhara.

I stayed in Nepal for 5 months based in Pokhara and stayed about 2 months at the Diplomat Hotel. I could not recommend this place more! Having come to Nepal to volunteer I was looking for a place to stay temporarily while I looked for a more permanent home; I ventured towards the south part of lakeside literally walking into every hotel to see the rooms and ask for the price of a long term stay. The owners of the Diplomat Hotel were the only ones to be straight and come to me with an honest and decent quotation which was surprising considering most of the places I'd seen were very worn down and trying to get as much money from me as possible, quoting absolutely ridiculous amounts.

The rooms are very bright and very clean, there is a nice rooftop from which you can see the mountains, there are balconies on each floor with tables and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air in the morning/evening. The owners live with their two sons on the ground floor and were so kind and nice. They were there to offer any local advice and give some great recommendations. They were very warm and let me use the kitchen which was a great bonus since I got very tired of eating out so much after a few weeks.

Once I moved out, Bandev and Sandiya both encouraged me to drop by and say hello once in a while and come for tea! It was great staying with them and I would completely recommend them to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Pokhara.

I stayed in hotel diplomat for five days. It is so nice and comfortable that I do not want to leave here. The owner' family is very lively and can provide all almost all the travel arrangements. Room is clean and every floor has big balcony with chairs. I miss here a lot and will definitely come back again
