Stayed for two nights. Clean amenities. Location is 5 mins walk from the main street. Safe to walk at night time. Provides a safe in the room and free wifi. There's varieties in breakfast choices. Staff are helpful, especially front desk called Gita. On the whole, a great place to relax.

We stayed there in Novemeber 2012. The hotel is excellent. Clean and very well maintained. Hotel staff were good.
Drinks at the bar are expensive you are paying 200 rupees more for a beer than you will 200 meters away in a restaurant but you do get a waiter standing by awaiting your order.
The food was great although we only eat in there twice.
The location is quite central although you are in the middle of the "cheap" hotel area.
You can book local trips from the hotel but you will save "lots" of money by booking outside

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have a superb view of the mountains. Ask for one of those or you'll be looking...

Temple Tree is just off the main street next to the lake in Pokhara. Modern, stylish, friendly. A tad on expensive side, but worth it. Mountain views from the yard, nice pool, BBQ in the garden, free WiFi. Recommended.

We were a group of 5 families travelling from Mumbai, India to Nepal for the first time on a family vacation. We got bookings for this hotel done by a local friend who had high recommendations for this place. And after reaching there, we understood that they were right.
After a rafting expedition on our way to Pokhara from Katmandu, we reached the hotel some time after 7pm. Night falls early in this region and we did have to keep asking before we finally reached the resort. It is tucked away in a small lane off the Phewa Lake which is strewn with all kinds of hotels and B&Bs. Pokhara is the base camp for many mountaineering expeditions and a lot of westerners come here to stay for many weeks. So there are a lot of options open for every kind of budget.
We didnt want to take any chances and also going by the reviews read here on tripadvisor, we settled on Temple Tree Resort. On arrival, check in was quick and the resort had a nice tribal touch to it with flower murals on the walls. The rooms are all placed in small bungalow styled structures with most of the rooms facing the pool area. This is reminiscent of beach side resorts like in Goa. Since we were there on days when it was raining, we didn't get to see the snow clad mountains from our rooms, which are otherwise, as told to us, visible. The pools also was not utilised since there was a chill with the rains then. Guess, the pool makes more sense during the summers. There was a huge tree in the pool area, banyan I think, and hence the name temple tree. The rooms itself were quiet cozy and bare basic with all basic amenities in place. The bathroom fittings were also very modern. It was quiet impressive since we had just come from a grand four star hotel in Kathmandu with which we weren't particularly very happy. . Service really is of the highest priority here.
We were on the AP. Dinner and breakfast was very filling and since we were Indians, we didn't mind the extra spice in our food. The dining area was nice as well. The desserts are especially worth mentioning. The food would taste even more yummier after a hard day's work of trekking and para gliding. And the beds were smug and warm, the kids used to doze off to sleep immediately. The hotel staff was very courteous and even provided vital tips on shopping and sight seeing. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa as we were busy out all day long.
There was a Korean joint at the start of the road outside Temple Tree and the Khimchi there was very good, quiet filling for a family of 4. Since I had never eaten Korean food before, the whole experience of seating the Japanese manner in a seperate hut with the food served on the stove was a very different experience. The road circumferencing the lake is just a two minute walk from the resort and has all kinds of stores selling everything from Maps to jewellery to handicrafts, etc.
Temple Tree did make the whole Pokhara experience very memorable. Definitely recommend this place especially if you are travelling with family.

Room Tip: Any one over looking the pool
