This small family run guest house is spotless clean (even by central European standards) and the family is very friendly.
Mune now has a Nepali - English phrasebook so it will be easier to talk with this kind person (I am sure your English will be great soon).
Narayan, her husband, is great. He is really friendly, helpful and smart. When I asked him (after having contacted a lot of paragliding operators) if he knew where I could rent a glider, he was able to help me almost immediately (thank you again Narayan!).
I hope that I will be able to come back to this great place in the future.

This small hotel is a perfect place to stay when you are looking for rest.
It is about 500 meter from the lakeside.
The owners and their 3 childeren are so nice people.
It is a place where you feel at home.
During the evening you can have a diner with them, this is very special.
The rooms on the first floor are quiet and the Wifi connection is here the best.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are quiet and the Wifi is the best on this level.

Just 10 minutes walk from the busy Lakeside area, you find this adorable guesthouse.
Narayan and his wife Muna make you really feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms are clean.
Also if you are looking for a place to stay for a longer period, the Pokhara Star Inn is the place to be. On the seconf floor there is a nice appartment with kitchen.

My husband and I are staying at Pokhara Star in as I write this review. Narayan, the owner and his wife are extremely kind and accommodating. They are always asking us if everything is alright.
Narayan picked us up from the bus station free of charge and brought us back to his lovely hotel.

The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms look to be very new and clean as well. The hotel is about 8-10 minute walking distance to Phewal Lake which is perfect for us. There are many restaurants all along the way. Tomorrow we are trekking to Sarangkot and staying one night. Narayan is allowing us to store our big backpacks here while we are gone. We are returning to Pokhara Star Inn for 2 more nights after our trek, and then going white water rafting!!

We would definitely recommend this hotel. The price is very right as well!!

Arriving from India on a bicycle, this place was recommended to me by a fellow cyclist who already stayed here for a longer time.
It is located in a quiet residencial area just 1 km away from the Lakeside, a perfect location to be in the middle of everything and though still be able to get away from it when you need to relax.
The rooms are clean and spacious, and the rooftop is a nice place to enjoy the sunsets.
However what accentuates this place from other good places is the friendliness and the helpfulness of the hosts Narayan and Muna, who create a pleasant and personal atmosphere in this home away from home.
Narayan also runs a travel business and can arrange all kinds of activities in and around Pokhara.
Excellent value and great people!

We arrived in Pokhara early afternoon on a beautiful December's day. Narayan, the owner of the hotel came to greet us from where we had been dropped off in the centre of town which was such a nice touch and took us to the hotel which was in fact only a five minute walk from the lakeside. It was perfect for us, just far enough away from the noises that accompany the night life in the city, and close enough in the day to walk round the town and down to the lake. The cooking was superb, with many thanks to Muna, Narayan's wife, who gave us such a hearty meal of dal bhat each night that an extra hole on my belt was required before leaving....delicious. One of the other great benefits of staying here was Narayan runs a tour operation for guests if they want to do any of the numerous activities from paragliding to taking a boat out onto the lake. We chose to do a three day trek into the countryside and do homestays with the locals there. It was one of the highlights of our 4 month SE Asia travel itinerary. And our guide, Jiwan, another family member, was the perfect aid to us doing this. So gentlemanly for a young man, willing to help, and very importantly for me, very willing to go slow when I was out of breath. Simply excellent, I look forward to going back!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Book early!

We didn't actually stay with Jamuna and her family but actually went here for an authentic Nepalese cookery lesson, where we learnt to cook the local dish, Dal Bhat. She was so welcoming and proud of her lovely guest house which was immaculate. We would have stayed here had we been in Pokhara for longer. Anyone looking for this place ask for the Namaste Children's Home, it's right next door. She also has a self-contained apartment with kitchen ect if you want to stay in Pokhara longer.
