“Tranquil and beautiful”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

I love lakes in general, but this lake is one of the most tranquil that I've visited, simply because there are no motor boats, only rowing boats. As a result, the lake is clean, and a mirror image of the sky above. It was raining quite a bit when we were there, but there were moments when the sky cleared and the visible snow-clad mountains formed the backdrop to the lake -- it's simply breath-taking.

“Nice boat trip”
Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

We hired a boat and rower to row us to the other side of the lake to walk up to the peace temple but you can also hire one yourself. On a clear day the views of the mountains are really cool. There is also a cafe in the middle of the lake and on the other side which you can go to for a drink.

“Great views”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

Totally grand lake to come and visit, take photos, and jog around in the mornings before it gets hot. I wish that the ladies peddling trinkets along the shore weren't there, as they can sometimes try to start conversations to sell you things, and it kind of ruins the setting. Other than that, beautiful place to come and watch the paragliders from the hills!

“The perfect lake”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

There is nothing more beautiful than the reflections in Phewa lake and the trip across to the peace pagoda is well worth the rupees. Sitting and watching the lake for an hour or two is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

“Relaxing”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We took a trip on lake Fewa one afternoon. You get to be paddled around and are able to take in the views of the magnificent local scenery. Well worth the few rupees for an hour of relaxing.
