I stayed three nights in a spacious room on the top floor with a view over fields, the hotel pool and about 15 miles away, Mt Machapuchare (Fishtail), with other Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks in view . The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly, especially the Guest Relations Executives. Breakfast was ample and special meals are organised from time to time. The hotel pool I found rather cool (not heated) and too shallow/short for swimming at all seriously. At a guess, it is 12 metres long and 1.6 metres deep. An externally-organised massage service is now available on site (a little pricey). The location is 50 metres off the main Pokhara Lakeside strip, so very quiet indeed - no blaring music nearby and no audible street noise either. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Perfect place to recover after a hard trek around the Himalaya. There are more nice hotels in Pokhara than you can shake a stick at, but with its pool, spa and attentive, friendly staff, this was a cut above the rest. The manager cut us a last minute deal on a large suite (more than 50% discount) and the room was massive. Massage treatments at the spa weren't the cheapest in town but v professional and relaxing atmosphere.

This was actually my second stay at the hotel. Theres three blocks in the hotel and one of the block was built more recent than the others. The hotel is tucked just few minutes inside of Lakeside so its very near to all the internet cyber cafe, restaurants, boating spots and nightlife of Lakeside. The hotel has its own swimming pool which is large compared to many other hotels in Nepal. They also have a 24 hours spice bar which is full of guests throughout the night.
The hotel also has a restaurant which serves buffet options if your in a package deal, night entertainment is also provided by cultural nepalese performances. There are double rooms, twin rooms and triple rooms. All of the rooms are neat, have tv, mini fridge, a/c and some have balconies. Amongst other hotels in Lakeside, this hotel is more affordable yet it has quality, iv not been to the Trek-o-Tel but this hotel is in a better location. However you cannot see the lake from the rooms although the mountain range can be seen on a clear day.

The hotel is located at the Lakeside, but not one of the lake view hotels or lodges. Nevertheless, you can be at the lake in 5mins and the location is quite, out of the busy main street.
Clientele seems to be more people not bohering room rates and enjoying one of the few swimming pools in Pokhara.
We've used the nice room only as a luxury overnight base.
I would definitely expect better offer at breakfast and significantly better dinner. We've joined dinner at hotel only once and besides grilled meat and few momos there was a terrible buffet offer for 15USD/person.
This is hotel more for people staying in Pokhara for longer holiday, not for an overnight stay.
From an accomodation quality point of view I can absolutely suggest.

We arrived at the hotel barahi without having confirmation of our online booking. Upon speaking to the reservations manager, explaining the problem and seeing two suitable rooms, we came to a mutually beneficial agreement on price given that we were planning to stay 7 days. (this being a lot more than the normal tourist stay in pokhara).

I cant say anything bad about this place. Whilst arranging flight tickets, the reservations manager arranged for a travel agent to come to the hotel to accept payment and hand over the necessary tickets, and for no charge whatsoever. I wanted flight tickets, and they were brought to me pool-side. Amazing. And it was the exact same price as anywhere in town. In addition, when our flights were cancelled due to bad weather, the reservations manager organised for a refund, which was subtracted from our bill upon settling.

The poolside bar manager was equally excellent, friendly, helpful but never overbearing. In fact all staff were most excellent.

There was some building work going on near the pool whilst we were there, but it never intruded on our enjoyment. Pool-side snacks were good, but we never dined in the evening, as there are a multitude of excellent restaurants in lakeside to try out.

In short, this was an excellent experience. The rooms were lovely, the mountain/lake views were spectacular, the service and staff were excellent, and the price was right too.

We also used the spa facilities by way of massage. The massage was expensive by nepali standards, but enjoyable all-the-same.

The hotel barahi is well worth a visit, keep your fingers crossed for the clouds parting and to be amazed by the mountains beyond them.

I stayed for 3 nights in one of their best rooms with a view of the gardens and the amazing mountain views in the background. The room was quite good by Nepalese standards. Good TV, good aircon, a small fridge, and a decent sized bathroom. It was also very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had complimentary wi-fi in the room which was also a great help.

Location of the hotel is also very good, right in the centre of lovely Pokhara. Pokhara is the gateway for the Amapurras so you will need to have a good place particularly after coming back from any trekking expedition.

Breakfast was spartan (it is the same across Nepal) but you won't travel to Nepal for the food.

I would highly recommend it without hesitation for a base in Pokhara. The hotel also has a decent pool but I didn't get to use it because I was wary of hygienic conditions not in the Hotel but across Nepal (where water is contaminated throughout).

Arrived in the middle of the night after an awful journey. After breakfast on the first morning of a two night stay we were told we could only stay one night as they had double booked the rooms. We were offered a nearby hotel which was of a poor standard nad refused to move. Eventually half of our party got to stay and half had to move. I also heard other people complaining about the same thing. Waiting staff v attentive and helpful, pool clean. Had to ask 3 or 4 times for rooms to be cleaned and also asked for thing at reception eg loo roll that never appeared. Good standard of hotel but admin needs sorting out.
