The rooms were really basic. Most of the time there was no electricity and there was also a lot of mosquitoes but you can purchase mosquito coil from stores nearby. The manager Mr.Deepak scammed us into buying a package, which included meals, a trek into the forest which was done in extreme speed as if the hotel guide dressed as a ranger was speeding to catch a glimpse of a rhino, and a jeep safari. Later we found out the other hotel guests had only paid 5000 NR but Mr.Deepak charged my partner and I, 8000 NR each!! We asked for Nepali food and never got it. We also said we were vegetarian but got chicken two nights in a row. The meals consisted of pasta and vegetable with tomato sauce and cheese or chicken with tomato sauce and cheese. Chitwan wasn't worth it. The villagers make money through selling tickets for crocodile breeding, elephant bathing and elephant rides. There's nothing forest like about these activities, the elephants have to be tortured and broken before they follow their mahouts orders. This is not nature. Please think twice before partaking.
