“Beer and music”
Reviewed 1 June 2013

Loud music and Taiwan beer. Food was alright. Very busy place. They speak some English. Yay! It's in an odd location. Kind of difficult to find but worth it. Cheap beer

“Mediocre beer, mediocre venue”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

A bunch of locals and expats (university students included) come here to hang out. We came on a Friday night so they were playing live music and people were dancing on stage. The place was loud and packed, and everyone seemed to be having a great (drunken) time, but honestly, it was a bit much for me. Who knew that the Taiwanese like to get so crazy!? ;) Maybe I'm getting old, but I much prefer a quiet lounge to wild pubs these days. On that thought, you might consider checking out Jolly Brewery (which, though we didn't get a chance to go, I'd heard good things about).

Age range was anywhere from early 20's to late 40's. Oddly enough, many of the crazy stage dancers were the old fogies heh. People also had these inflatable noise makers, like the kind you see at a ballgame, and they were going to town! If you come with a large group, the beer barrels look like fun. Also, get the peach beer for the ladies in your group. We didn't eat there, but if you see Chinese sausage on the menu, it's good paired with beer.

All in all, it was good fun to be amongst friends and amusing to watch everyone else let loose. Who knows, this might be exactly your scene.

“Great Vibe..come for the live bands”
Reviewed 7 February 2012

Live bands play on the weekend from 8-10pm. This is great fun and the bands play Taiwanese favorites as well as pop English songs. The brewery bar is in a huge warehouse with beer garden tables. It's family friendly and you will see the locals there at 11pm with their small children but it's still alright to get up on the tables and dance fi the mood strike. They also serve cheap food and cheap beer in barrels (almost 4L for 600Nt) which is always good fun.

“Fantastic fresh beer in nice Oktoberfest-like ambiance”
Reviewed 25 September 2011

The local Taiwan beer is so-so but when it is freshly brewed, it is fantastic. If you like fresh beer please order the special fresh beer in special bottles that are kept for no longer than 18 days. The ones I had were 3 days old. Taste really refreshing and heavenly. The place is an huge old warehouse within the brewery that is converted into a huge beer hall. It is very quaint and nice. The food served is decent and mainly pub food meant to be washed down with beer. There is live music on weekends from 8 pm. Went on a Friday night and the the place is packed by 8pm. Go a little earlier and settle down before the music starts. The rock band is good and sang mainly fast paced local rock music with an occasional English song. Many of the locals go there for the music and the place is abuzz like a rock concert hall when the band gets warmed up. The crowd is mainly young locals (looked like College kids), Pockets of working adults and expatriates. Not a family restaurant but saw some families with children there as well. Interesting place to visit and have a nice noisy evening.
