My wife & I stayed here for 5 nights, which is within walking distance from Ximemding. The room is cozy, clean and the staffs are friendly.

Free internet services are provided and snacks are available FOC at the pantry located at the lobby. Will definately stay here again on my next visit.

Steve and his staff run a great little gay-friendly hotel. Best of all it's non-smoking throughout (well, supposed to be as an occasional guest fouls the air for the rest of us). Good location and not very noisy. Easy to access MRT. Staff are always helpful and pleasant to deal wtih. Rooms are not huge but more than adequate. Only one small negative - personally I hate the contour pillows that are supplied on the beds.

This is a gay hotel, in the heart of the gay area, only a short stroll to numerous bars. The Metro (MRT station) is at the end of the street, there is shopping and food all around, a laundry within 1 minute walk, but most fabulous are the staff...

We arrived after midnight and were asked for a quick look at my passport and then given the keys to our room with no hassles. Staff who understand how tyring travel can be. When we discussed a trip to Taroko Gorge, Steve the owner organised a gay homestay in Hualien and a tour guide to take us on a day trip through the national park.

The snack bar is great for breakfast of instant noodles, varying breads and drinks - with the staff jumping to their feet to help prepare anything at anytime!

There are widescreen computers in the rooms which double as tv's, and also connect all the rooms with msn chat if you wanna meet the neigbours.

Anything you need, just ask the staff - they are extremely helpful and willing to oblige. Enjoy the city, as we did!

Centrally located, clean, convenient. Staff helpful and friendly. Interesting hi-tech options available in every room. Safe. Snack counter always well stocked and FREE. My Taipei experience was complete, in no small part thanks to this hotel!

My partner and I stayed at QStay Hotel for 4 nights and 5 days. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Complimentary snacks and drinks are available at the ground floor 24/7. Our room was at the corner of the 6th floor with a great view of the park and Taipei 101. Our bathroom had wrap-around windows which was great and our pillows were of 'ergonomic' quality. Being at the center of the Ximen Ding district made it convenient to find good restaurants, bars and shopping. The subway station is a 5 minute walk and taxis are readily available in this busy but quiet neighborhood. QStay is like staying at a home of a friend.

Just arriving in Taipei, our short stay (2 nights) was an appreciated introduction to Taiwanese hospitality. Taiwan is not so much on the beaten tracks and finding such a welcome helped us to start our trip relaxed and briefed with tips for the rest of our journey in the other provinces.
Arriving late at night, the staff went as far as to lead us to a nearby small restaurant still open, explain us the menu (all in Chinese) and pass our order. I don't know many places where this might have happened.
We immediately booked our last night at the same place.
It is also conveniently located close to gay venues. Computer and wireless internet in the room was highly appreciated.
Warmly recommended.

Qstay is indeed a hidden gem in the busy hotspot of Ximending area. Our experience at the hotel actually started off on the crowded street in the heart of the Ximending pedestrian shopping area - strolling with the luggage, we're trying to locate the hotel, there, 2 guys came up to us and offered, that whether we needed help. We said we're looking for a hotel called "Qstay", they grinned in surprise, and uttered "We're the owners of Qstay".

The hotel is simple, but nice. Very home, helpful staffs, free flow drinks and snacks all day... very clean room with memory foam pillows! Each room is equipped with a desktop, and, best of all, free WI-FI throughout the hotel.

Taipei has very efficient transport system, nevertheless, for first timers, ones still have to take a little time to figure out the directions and all that; but the owners, make all these super easy. They simply asked us where we planned to go for the day, there they suggested very useful guides: Yes, we almost traveled like the locals.

For couples/ friends/ siblings in small groups, Qstay, I would say, is one of the best places to stay in Taipei. 5-min walk from exit 1 of Ximen Station, it can't be any convenient than that. However, for elderly or travelers in big groups, Qstay may not be a suitable choice for them then.

I'd definitely stay at Qstay again for my next trip to Taipei!
