You are highly requested to stay here even some short comes.

they don't have any big gate so you may hard to find but it is just next to very new and modern shopping mall anyway.

shower water pressure is also a small problem. it is not that strong but good enough though.

Breakfast wasn't the best but good enough anyway.

they are really focus on interior. We stayed at two distinguished Executive Deluxe room and my parents were very happy cuz their own son(me) booked the best hotel for them.

Executive lounge was actually disappointed a bit. they didn't serve more food once it is run out by customers. I think they should cook some more and punctually. when me and my family went to the lounge all of hot food wasn't there.

All of stuff in the room is really nice but amenities are not as good as other representative hotels in Taipei.

the best thing of this hotel is high ended interior and public bathroom. staff are also very very kind.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights the weekend before the Chinese New Year. The staff at the reception were very polite and helpful. We arrived early and were able to check in and shown to our room one hour before the usual check-in time. The deluxe king room we had was on the 15th floor with a good view of the horizon. Although it was on a busy cross road with lots of traffic, we couldn't hear it at all. What impressed me most was the room was impeccably clean. I checked every hidden spot and I could not find any fault. The housekeeping staff would greet us whenever we met in the corridor. The open plan bathroom (which may not be everyone's cup of tea) is a clever design to make good use of the space. I didn't have any problem with the oversized bathtub. In fact the hotel has its own unique character which makes it more interesting than the larger chain hotels.

The buffet breakfast had a good spread of Western, Japanese and Chinese food. Service was attentive for 3 days in a row, the waitress came to remind us at 9.30 that breakfast would close at 10 am.

When it comes to location, its opposite the Taipei Main Station for railway/high speed railway and the mass transit railway (MRT). The inter-city bus terminal is on the west end of the station. The airport bus (toTaipei Main Station at NT$125 each way) we took stopped right outside the station. Its so convenient that we did not have to resort to taxis at all during our stay. We travelled by MRT to the Shilin night market, Tamsui, Taipei 101 and the National Palace Musemum (the last one required a short connecting bus ride from Shilin station). We took bus No. 260 (the bus stop is outside the Taipei Main station) to Yang Ming Shan for a refreshing hike up the waterfalls and on another day, we took the train to explore the north-eastern old towns Ruifang, Jiufen and Shifen.

The mall (Q Square) which is located right next to the hotel has many reasonably priced eateries. We ate at two of them - one hot pot restaurant and one serving sushi. Both food quality and service were good.

Lastly we had dim sum lunch at the hotel's Chinese Restaurant - La Palais - on the top floor. We tried a few dishes only. For the price we paid, we could have better ones in Hong Kong.

We are happy with our choice!

Enjoyed my week long stay at the Palais De Chine.

Travelled with my husband and 3mo baby. The airport transfer was great and the check in was quick. The hotel was generally dimly lit as compared to most hotels. It didn't bother us too much. The level of brightness in your room can be adjusted, tho like mentioned, the auto sensor near the toilet will irritate you if you are a light sleeper. Overall, we liked the design of the room.

They were really thoughtful and provided us with sebamed baby toiletries, some diapers, use of a baby bathtub and stool. However, the baby cot didn't have a proper mattress, just a soft fluffy layer placed on top of the hard wood.

Didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there were many food options all around. The hotel is connected to Q square mall (there are lots of restaurants and also a food court in the basement) and you could walk to the other underground malls connected to the station. Can spend a day or more walking through them!
It's really easy to catch a cab to the attractions and was economical for us as we travelled with another couple with a 5mo baby.

The housekeeping staff were really helpful in accommodating to our needs too. Kudos to them!

Dont get cheated by the location. You need to walk a long way from the underground to the hotel front door. First of all, you have to walk, walk and walk inside the Taipei Station to find the correct exit. Then you need to walk and walk inside the mall to get to the Ground floor. Then you have to exit the mall and walk to the hotel right next door. If you are with an elderly, this one may not be a perfect choice.
Some may like the room decor, but not for me, I found it too dark. The bathtub is a nice touch. But becareful after your shower, I found it difficult to get out of the tub.
It maybe a good option if you go to Taiwan in the summer, when it rains a lot. You can just spend your day in the mall right next door. The food hall in the mall is quite nice.
Generally good. But with the price paid, there still many options with excellent location.

If you are planning to bring your loved one to this business city and want a couples getaway also, then this is the place to stay or eat. The dark interior of the lobby and restaurant area reminded me of a European style hotel. This is not a boring bright light business hotel, its very unique and the restaurant is first rate for date night.

We came with a group of friends after a round trip on the island. On this trip we stayed at many great hotels but Palais de Chine was on top of all.

Rooms were well decorated, bathroom convenient and unconventionell. You have to experience that :-)

Breakfast was an enormous buffet both western and chinese style. The quality and variety was outstanding. We had dinner once and it could have lasted much longer.

Some friends complained about the windowless restaurant but I personally liked it. Missing is a pool even though you can use a nearby gym. The bar and terrass in the evening was disappointing. To small, staff untrained and not really cozy.

We will definitely come back.
