Boutique hotel with a classy and stylish accent. Good location and sound isolation. Roomy rooms with fancy light controls, a bit too much with sensor dimming. There is something special with its executive lounge, lots of antiques per say, but no chance to view. Breakfast has local luxury tastes.

Palais de Chine is a nice hotel. But not something I'd recommend for business.

First off, rooms are very dark, if you need light to get some work done, out of luck. Second, the price is very high compared to other hotels with similar quality. Yes, if you are a shopper or tourist, maybe this is a nice place to be and it is on top of the train station.

Effectively, there is no hotel bar. They have a bar, but it is outside - where it is usually over 32C or raining. So much so is the bar closed, they've fashioned an ornate, framed permanent sign to announce it's closing.

The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The tub is great and shower good. But what's with that sliding door onto the main sleeping area for the toilet?

Run an iron over those clothes wrinkled from travel - there is no iron or ironing board - you have to call down to request.

Internet - excruciatingly slow. I feel like I am in rural mainland China with this slow internet connection. Sometimes you can't get on, especially with mobile devices. Again, bad for business travel.

It's a nice hotel and worthy of a good rating, but I would not recommend it for business travel.

Regarding the sliding door on top of the main sleeping area for the toilet, it is part of the room decoration and easy usage for family members with kids. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Furthermore, regarding the darkness of the room, no iron & ironing board, internet issue, etc. We would strongly recommend you to contact us directly prior to your arrival for your future visits, so we may arrange them accordingly and ensure everything is well prepared upon your arrival.

Thank you once again for staying at the Palais de Chine Hotel, we always look forward to welcome you back in the nearest future.

The rooms (was staying at the club floor) was spatious, comfortable.and I liked the decoration. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was also great, even though I found the restaurant downstairs a a bit too noisy. The location is not bad either, a few minutes walk away from Taipei Main Station (MRT). Overal, Palais de Chine Hotel is one of the top hotels in Taipei.

PALAIS de CHINE is located in the heart of Taipei and is a fusion of eastern and western architecture and settings. It is popular with both business and leisure travellers thanks to its luxury and personalized customer service. My room was perfectly located on the seventh floor overlooking Taipei railway station and a nearby hill. It was elegant and stylish with a great toilet and a bathtub with stunning view of the city. The hotel is known for grilled steak and lobsters. But with my typical taste buds unsuited for the Southeast Asian food, I had to survive on tea and bread.

Staying on the executive floor recently. You won't get any benefits. Asked for a late check out, they said they have a very large group check in on tomorrow. As a hotelier, I really surprised that they have a large group check in on the executive floor. Maybe an inexperience staff can't make use of his brain to provide a more reasonable excuse.
I visited the executive lounge at around 5pm. The executive lounge is just like a pantry, they have drinks, biscuits, nuts, chips ,bakery only and those stuffs definitely can be founded in the grocery store.
The layout of the room is strange. The bathroom in the room is separate by a drape. A window between the toilet bowl and the desk?

The location is really bad. This hotel seems like nearby the train station. The truth is not.I tried 1 time and almost lost in the underground. So I give up and just take the taxi in and out.
Breakfast on tomorrow, I don't expected, maybe better go out to dine.

Service at this hotel is absolutely flawless! Love the room, though lightning is on the dim side. The bed is very comfortable. As it is located in the city centre, not much of a view out the window. Location is perfect, next to bus terminal, high speed rail and train. Layout of the room is unique, with the bathtub next to the main door. Not much of a privacy if you are travelling with friends.

Nice and large rooms with really comfortable beds. One downside though, you can literally open a small door at the desk (!) and look at your room partner on the toilet. Also, the isolation to the bathroom is basically paper thin, so privacy is mostly an illusion.

The staff is decent at speaking English and generally very helpful. When one in our party lost his phone in a cab, they helped us to call the company and actually managed to track down the phone.

The breakfast buffet is good, but pretty expensive if not included in the room. Dinner at the restaurant in the lobby area is a bit uneven, very good one day and a bit worse the next.
