Great location in the center of town. Very close to 101 and the Sun Yat Sen memorial. Easy access to two MRT lines, but given the relative cost of taxis it's easy to get to many sights quickly and cheaply.

Our family of four plus my parents stayed for and extended weekend. Both our rooms were upgraded to the junior suite at check in which was a great surprise.

Room was superb, very clean and modern. All amenities provided with and excellent bathroom.

Morning buffet was good and had a large selection. Had breakfast there for 3 days and managed different things each day.

Humble Home restaurant in the hotel was excellent, albeit pricey. For one night we ate at a Taiwanese restaurant in one of the several the Mitsukoshi department store next doors, which was not quite as good, but much more reasonable.

Didn't get to use the gym nor spa facilities.

Unlike other trendy hotel in Taipei, this hotel focus more on providing guest comfort and services. I have stayed at this hotels several times and I am glad to see that this hotel have provided me with constant services and their bed is one of the best bedding around the area. I had amazing sleep every night while I was there. This hotel is on the smaller side but it means more personal attentions including my preferences for the room have always been taking care of. Excellent service from FD Service manager Oscar and the Club lounge staffs Erin, Christina and Yolanda.

I have used their facilities while on site too. They have a fantastic gym and spa for guest to use while in house. The negatives that I have noticed is the quality of items at the buffet during breakfast have been declined significantly since they ended partnership with Jean Georges and yet the prices have been raised in April 2014. Besides that, I think this property is still very solid and would definitely return again.

Room Tip: Ask for room with view of Taipei 101.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Everything is very good, breakfast, executive lounge, bed room, fruits and chocolate pineapple cake. The location is very convenient too. if you could afford NTD 12000 per night, highly recommend to stay there.

The hotel has a great location and is very contemporarily designed. However if you have the Hyatt a few blocks away I would take that anyday. I normally go with the Hyatt but since the Hyatt was sold out I tried the Meridien. There is no breakfast included in the price. They charge a 10% fee for any cash charges. They have a really good place called chocoart which has this yummy chocolate pineapple cake.

Most of the washroom appliances are in Japanese which makes it sometimes difficult to use.

I've stayed in Westin Taipei many times during previous trips and not happy with it, so this time I decided to give Meridien a try.

I've been to other Meridiens in the States, but unlike those, this is actually a pretty large hotel. The rooms we had were suites and they are super nice with many bells and whistles. Very large bedroom and bathroom.

The best part of our stay is actually the breakfast - it has everything you can think of (Western, Chinese traditional, Japanese....etc). The only better hotel breakfast I've ever had was the W Hong Kong.

Would stay here for sure on my next trip!

Loved the facilities, very customer focused staff. I was booked in a non-view room by my stupid agent, I requested for a room with a view and they offered it without hassle. The only complain and hence 4 stars is the staff didnt know the city well. I asked how to go to the hot springs and was guided to a wrong MRT station on the map. The taxi driver then took me to right MRT station, the hot springs were 1 min drive from that station :(. But otherwise a very good facility and very good people.

Room Tip: there are rooms with view, ask for those :)

Booked their hotel limo to get picked up from the airport and that was smooth. They have an in-car wifi, which is always appreciated. Arrived at the hotel porch and was greeted by a super enthusiastic doorman, hilarious. Check-in was ok. From the lobby, lots of contemporary art can be seen and this is 1 of those newer LeMeridiens similar to Bangkok, all superchic, and similar to the W hotels

The room is expectedly modern and nice, with nice colours and all the amenities you would want. As a bonus, you get free in-room wifi, something not usually seen in other countries. There is a seperate shower which i like, and i don't care that it doesn't have a tub, as these things are safety hazards. Got a side view of taipei 101, and it's a short walk away. Try the Din Tai Fung dumplings there

The gym is large and well designed, and comes with the sauna which is popular in taiwan and japan. The trainer seems shy so doesn't proactively assist or interact with guests, i suspect it's a language issue. I didn't have time to visit the pool but i'm sure it's nice

They have a chinese restaurant called My humble house which is strangely not listed in tripadvisor. They have an in-house special crispy duck, which was delicious. The breakfast restaurant is good with the quality and service. In-room dining was also fine, but then again, i ordered the taiwanese beef noodles and you can't go wrong with that

Good servce throughout the hotel, from the front desk to conceirge. They remember your name after 1st contact and try to anticipate your needs

Overall a great new hotel and should be ranked in the top 10 here.Obviously there are many Cityinn and Dandy hotel fans here and they are probably good value for money
