Nice ambiance and services with good selection of tea. I had a tea (citrus peel, pine nut) and taro dessert. The tea was a bit bitter as the server indicated, and dessert felt like a sticky rice (mochi). I liked them both:) When I looked around everybody seemed to be having a beef noodle soup, so it must be good. Next time I'd love to try it:)

Located on the 4th level of the National Palace Museum, we had lunch there while visiting the museum. The ambience was lovely, the service very good and the food was nice (it's a museum restaurant). We especially enjoyed the desserts.

Located on level 4 of the National Palace Museum, it is only accessible via 1 lift in the whole building. The tea room exudes an old world charm, very cosy ambience too.
We tried the omelette rice which frankly tastes bland. Go for the dim sum dishes and dumpling soup/chicken soups. The best dish we had was an inexpensivec cold lobster salad with cucumber. The contrasting textures were simply out of this world!

Some may not like the taste of plum, but the plum tea here is great!

- Compared to museum food elsewhere in the world, this eatery at the National Palace Museum is very good. Tasty and reasonably priced. (However, elsewhere in Taiwan there are lots of other places for tastier and cheaper food.)

- It's called a teahouse, but it has many food options too in addition to tea.

- The ambiance is charming.

- Great place to eat when visiting the National Palace Museum. The museum has so much to see that your visit could take a whole day, so it's great to have a good restaurant where you can eat and get re-energized in the middle of the day.

- We were a party of two and waited for only a minute to get a table. Larger parties seemed to have a longer wait.

- The museum's library building, which is next to the main building, has a fancier restaurant, but we didn't have time to eat there.

We got our lunch here after viewing all exhibited items at Level 1, 2 and 3.
The interior decoration is nice and you get a great view to the mountains.
We have tried the Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup, which was not too bad, however you will get a much better taste in the City.
Prices are reasonable and Service top. So there is no complaning at all.
