Go Sleep Hotel - Hankou
Ranked #19 of 255 Taipei B&B and Inns
Reviewed 10 March 2014

We travelled as a group of 11 with elderlies and kids. It’s a family trip and we tried to stick together and saved for some money. So we tried to look for hotels which can accommodate like 3-4 in a room. We found this hotel as the location is good and also price was reasonable. We booked 3 non-smoking rooms and they are able to arrange us on the next door which I really appreciated.
We arrived before the check-in time, but the rooms were not yet available, so they allowed us to leave the luggage there in the lobby first. Somehow, I think it is not very secure as it’s easy to reach by everyone, but at least they helped tie our luggage together, so kind of okay if you don’t leave any valuable belongings there.
The location is easy to find and very close to the main area and also metro. There are convenience stores nearby and a lot of food stalls in walking distance. The room is okay, not bad. The bathroom is spacious and clean. In 4-ppl room, the bath tub is huge. Wifi is free and speed is acceptable as well. The breakfast is just so so and it’s a bit messy as there are a lot of people and not too many choices. But considering breakfast is included in the room rate, we don’t have much expectation.
Overall, not bad if you are looking for a hotel which is reasonable priced and in the city center.

There is a 10 minutes walk to the hotel from MRT station, including squeezing myself through the crowd in XiMending... but with luggage, you may need 15.....

The location actually is good, downstair you can always find something to eat even at midnight. However, the hotel is on the top floors, but shares a buidling and elevator with Mahjong School, nightclub, KTV...... So family travellers with small children may need to reconsider.

The breakfast was nice with large resting room at the lobby. But a bit noisy in the morning with crowd sitting enjoying their breakfast (though normal to be noisy?)

The room is not big but good enough for 2 adults... Beds are comfortable and staffs are helpful.

i went to Tai Pei wf my mom, brother, grandma this time. the travel agency suggested this hotel for us. Before i went to Tai Pei, i searched a bit for this hotel, and most of the comment said the location of the hotel is quite far away from the Ximending station. it takes around 15 mins to the hotel. about the room, it's a family room which has 2 twins beds, but it's still a bit small for 2 ppl. the rooms are on 8-10/F, and the rest of the floors are some kind of entertainment place, which is like club, karaoke, bowling etc. so everyone can take the lift to the hotel, so sounds a bit unsafe and unsecured. and i suggest you guys gather together to go on the street, dun walk alone. DUN suggest this hotel to you unless you are out of choice.

Room Tip: Bad location. Clean, small room.

Although the location is fine, the room is quite small. Also, the rooms are at the top floor of a building, you need to share the same lift with others. The poorest thing is that you always here people talking outside!! Lastly, I must say I don't like the hotel provides only paper cups in the room...

The rooms were really small like a dorm sized room. The room I stayed at didn't have any windows. This hotel includes breakfast which was decent. There was an American and Asian selections. I would say this hotel was good. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly.

First time in staying in this hotel, booking from Agoda. The location of the hotel was really far from the MRT station. It was about more than 10 minutes walk from the Xi Men Station.

The process of the check-in was fast. The room and the bathroom were really clean. It was like the new hotel feeling. I have booked a Triple & Twin room. Both rooms do not have windows for us to view outside. From the Agoda web, there are photos shown that the rooms do have window. I feel sightly disappointment.

The bad thing is that the lifts to the hotel room level are really bad. The doors of the lift automatic close within 3 seconds when there is no one pressing the 'Open' button. It can be really danger to the people who are first time staying in hotel.

It is good that there are breakfast every morning from 7am to 10am (Taiwan timing). There are different countries style of foods served. It is more like buffet type of breakfast. The canteen area is big. However, this is not good that other tourists may come from other hotels to have their breakfast at here easily without paying of money.

One more thing that is missing from the room is that there is no more extra mirror in the room exclude the one in the bathroom because if there are more people staying in the room, we will need to wait for the person to finish his/her shower, then the next person will able to use the mirror in the bathroom. That may take up quite sometimes.

The price for staying per night for this hotel is reasonable. I will consider to stay in this hotel if I do have another chance to visit Taiwan again.
