Lucky Apartment Taipei 101 Apartment 1

We were disappointed to this holiday rental where it doesn't really matched to what we've seen on the website pictures during our booking. We were being told that the original apartment address was registered at number 131 but the travel agent was walked from her office on the same road at number 141 to meet us at the building named " VISION" at number 135. Before this lady came to us, we found 131 roller shuttle door had locked and asked for help in the next door apartment 135 we have been told by the "VISION" apartment receptionist that the unit we were booked from booking website subscribed by the "lucky apartment "unit was managed separately under the travel agency and urged us to contact them.

In addition, the website browser for the promotion room picture was bigger size and far more attractive than the real rental that we had received. We were told by the key handover person she said " on the website there were not stated "you will definitely get that room showed in the picture , but similar" ! She also mentioned that the website creator was disallowed them to " take down" these pictures and update the real properties photo! We felt resentment and some more the facilities in the apartment cannot be used for i.e. no wifi connectivity, snooker (as in the browser picture), no room keeping after three days later etc

Simply saying, something is "NOT" quite right about this management although it prices compared to the rental in Taipei is lower and easy for transport link. If you are looking for budget rental, maybe is a good choice for you.

The apartment is 5-8 minutes walk from the Taipei City Hall MRT station. Walking to Taipei 101 leisurely is also possible which is about 25 minutes walk.

Checking in to the apartment is quite tricky. You need to call the vacation rental management office and collect the keys from their office (above and next to 7-eleven), which is 1 minute walk from the apartment. I was also surprised to find that check in time is at 5pm, which is very late. Imagine bringing around your luggage bags between the apartment and management office with your entire family with kids (6 adults and 1 toddler for my case) as the instruction to check in was not given clearly as we booked via AirAsiaGo.com, which is tiring and mood spoiling.

Prior to checking in, we were told to keep our volume low and minimize the noises we make. And upon going inside the room, we were dissapointed by quality of the bed. There were dusts everywhere on the floor and wardrobe. The mattress was so thin and we felt as though we were sleeping directly on the floor. It was extrenely challenging to carry your heavy luggage up to the room as the stairs were very narrow. so we end up leaving all our luggage bags in the living room. The hot water supply in the bathroom was also inconsistent. It was hot and a minute later it suddenly turned very cold...and when you increased the flow of hot water, suddenly it became boiling hot....we hated our bath time during our stay in this apartment.

As we stayed here for 1 week, we had problems with trash filling up. I contacted the management office and they told me to just leave it outside at the apartment yard area and they will clean it up after we check out. Although it sounds like a temporary solution, the smell of the rubbish is aweful and we could smell it from time to time.

The only good thing about this apartment is it's location. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone but if have no choice but to stay here, do so without toddler as the design and furnitures of the apartment is not child friendly.

We took 2 small apartments for 6 nights and costed me RM5741.89 (approx 1888.75 USD). Thinking back, I should have stayed in a proper hotel instead which has more value for money.

I only stayed her for two nights as I was in Taipei for the weekend. It ended up that we booked the room for three guys. Now I am the shortest of the three and I am 5'10" and I weigh the least. This apartment / rental would comfortably fit one guy my size.

The loft was about the only nice thing which included 2 queen "mattresses"on the floor with a nice comforter with duvet for each. Downstairs, the walls were dirty with smudges an there really isn't much room. There was a tv with cable. A appliance which I assume was a dish sanitizer. It looked like a microwave and bought some food to warm up which was a big mistake when I opened the appliance door. There were only 4 cups to drink from.

The bathroom has an awkward feeling to it. The mirror is on the side of the wall instead of in front of the sink. However, the sliding door into the bathroom covers it when the door is open. It's a tile basin like tub with a shower head and hose coming from the faucet. It's almost like a sauna tub. Square tile tub that you need to sit in. It was dirty. No bath for me. The shower head leaked so you were forced to sit as to prevent water getting on the floor. The window in the bathroom is huge but it looks across the street to the neighbors building. The blind definitely needs to be closed all the time.

It's very quiet however, they told us to be quiet because they consistently get complaints about people being loud from the residents.

The rooftop is amazing and you have access to it. Also furnished with trees and plants.

Other than that, I wouldn't stay here again. The pictures are not what they seem.

Stayed in this apartment for only a night. It is a condominium style duplex apartment with a small living area on the lower floor and bed on the upper floor. Not many windows in the apartment & it is just comfortable for 2 person.

It is not very easy to locate this apartment as the name "Lucky Apartment" is not the name of the building. "Lucky Apartment" is the name used by the owner who rent out some of the individual units which he owns.

When you arrived at the location, you are supposed to call a number (given to you upon booking confirmation) and a staff will bring you to the unit.

I have feedback to the staff concerned that there should be an intercom instead as tourists may not have accessibility to the phone to call them. Upon check-out (at 12 noon), just drop the keys into the letterbox that indicates the unit number.

Apartment is very quiet and it is less than 10 mins walk to Taipei Main subway station. It is very convenient if you need to take a shuttle service to Taoyuan International Airport (costs about TW$140/way).

Can consider this apartment if you are not looking for hotel-like service.

Room Tip: Room is duplex type and fully air-conditioned.
