I stayed here on a business trip, visiting National Taiwan University which is just a few hundred yards down the street. I wasn't footing the bill, but I can say that the rooms - I stayed some of the time in a double and then in a single - were comfortable and quiet, and I found the staff helpful. One of the three restaurants serves an excellent buffet breakfast with local, Japanese and western options (I'd skip the buffet dinner, which wasn't so great, especially as there are numerous restaurants nearby). The wifi was decently fast, and there's a pretty standard hotel gym (you can also run in nearby Da'an park… when I was there Taipei was plenty hot and humid but not seriously polluted). For NTU visitors this is really an excellent option, but if you're just visiting Taipei for other reasons I'm not so sure… this place is close to the metro but there's nothing very unique about the location.
