Good Sized rooms which are clean and have good facilities. The building is rather old but the room decor is pleasant and they also provide drinking water bottles everyday along with all toiletries. the breakfast is very good with a wide choice including organic food and the staff are also freindly and helpfull and most important can speak in English.
The location is also good with a couple of supermarkets right next door and quite a few restaurants.

It's a simple (and rather old) hotel located in the city area of Taipei. Walking distance to SYS Memorial Hall Station and Zhongxiao East Road (luxury shopping district). Room is spacious for 3 persons with complete toiletries and free mineral water bottles every day. Breakfast provided is fine but we had it for 4 consecutive mornings with zero changes in the selections (omg!). Starbucks and 7-eleven are located just beside the hotel. Suitable for those coming on business trip in the city area.

On NYE we stayed here to be near the countdown party. Location is awesome because it is near a lot of things and it is also like diagonally across SYS Memorial Hall MRT station.

Our room came with breakfast which was overall OK but we didn't like to have to share a table early morning when you're barely awake after a late NYE night.

But service wise it was way way better than the 3 star hotel it claimed to be. It may be old but it is so well - maintained we didn't feel its' oldness haha once we were inside. Will definitely be back if we join the NYE next year!

Room: very big and comfy bed. Small TV but nvm. Very strong in room wifi. Awesome clawfoot bathtub and great toiletries. Other than that we didn't have much time to dig around haha.

The hotel is appropriately rated by its establishment as 3 1/2-star and, as such, it offers good value for money. Hotel prices in Taipei are ridiculously high during the Christmas and New Year holiday season, and the charge here is more reasonable than most in the same league.

The hotel is centrally located close to high street stores and is only a couple of mintues from the metro station to be connected to the major tourist sites and shopping areas. It has everything in place, including a fitness centre and a business centre to cater for holiday and business purposes. The free wifi service is very effective and a stong plus for its clients. The front house service is courteous and responsive to customer needs, while the buffet breakfast offers a fair choice of Chinese and western selections.

On the negative side, the decor is really dated and the standard guest rooms are small. The double bed is just good enough for the comfort of a slim couple. It can certainly do with a facelift and particularly modernisation of its bathroom facilities to enhance its appeal and upgrade its rating.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view of 101

Stayed at the United back in March, found it to be clean with helpful staff, dinner on the first night was good.

My room was a very good size with a good working area, seating and bedroom, the wi fi was complentry and worked well. The decor was tired but otherwise clean.

Breakfast reception was well managed and the buffet had something for everyone, you could get eggs cooked as you liked too!

The location was good with plenty of restaurant choice within walking distance, as was Taipei 101 which is well worth the effort to group to the viewing floor.

Considering how noisy the street is the hotel is remarkably quiet inside, taxis can pull up by the main entrance which makes it very convenient.

Good location in Taipei down town area, near the MRT and the local attractions.
The rooms are different due to the building layout, therefore not every rooms are square (mine the triangular, pizza shape) Room looked like been refurbished not too long ago but already missing maintenance. All the needful are provided but the cleanliness and the odour need improvement. The power plug and the state of WIFI router in my room are both challenging and could be dangerous.

The room rate was very reasonable which included Breakfast Buffet as well as WIFI (decent speed). Breakfast were reasonable and nothing fancy. The hotel seems to be busy all the time but staff were pretty attentive and assisting. Check in/out were swift.

My 8th floor room facing main road with busy traffic and it was noisy at peak hours. Stay higher please.

Overall a reasonable though not quite decent. The slight stinky smell killed the deal.

Room Tip: stay as high floor as possible

The hotel is at a good location i.e. nearby MRT station (Sun Yat Sen station). Besides that, it is a stone's throw to Sun Yat Sen's memorial park. There are alot of eatries and shops at a walking distance. If you are more of a shopping type, SOGO is just 1 MRT station away.

If you are travelling by groups, there may be a chance to get a free upgrade on the room as they may try to put everyone at the same floor. That's what happen to me when I am travelling in a party of 8. We book for 4 standard room and end up got deluxe rooms which is spacious.

Room Tip: Travel by groups may have a chance to get free upgrade on the room. Corner rooms facing the right s...
