Well sized rooms and clean.

Bed is on the hard side, not too comfortable.

Desk chair is not comfortable! A business hotel should have an office chair for the desk, making work easy.

Air-condition is acute, but not stable, either too hot or too cold. The good part is the option to open a window and get some fresh air, which a lot of hotels lack.
Good bathtub and shower, with fine water pressure. Toilet has a state-of-the-art “Toto” bidet with hot water and warm toilet seat.

Internet is free, and bandwidth fine. (Cable network had problems, but Wi-Fi was ok).

The choice of tea and coffee in the room are all no-brand low quality, a shame for a hotel charging about US$ 300 a night.

Service was mostly good, although there was no porter waiting to help with the luggage when I arrived.

Thank your for sharing the pros and cons with us. We are pleased that you were able to try out the bidet toilet and free WIFI, both which are new features that have been added earlier this year.

Regarding your comments about the bed, aircon and other service issues, we will pass it on to our team for review and improvement. We appreciate your review and we hope to see you again in the future.

Great business hotel with a sumptous breakfast spread - stayed for only a night on business but I was not disappointed. I was pretty impressed by the bell boy who picked up my name after he spotted the tag on the luggage - so he is obviously well trained; it's either that or he had a good head on his shoulders to make his service more personalized. Room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom had all the amenities one could need. Would go back again on business. Worthy of the Sheraton name.

I have to say that i was incredibly disappointed staying here.
After coming from the Hsinchu Sheraton expecting a similar standard, this place was a huge let down.

Pros:
The rooms are really great, spacious, cozy, good sized bathroom.

Neutral:
Not a great location, but close to the metro and that's all you need.
The staff seems to be doing their job, not extra helpful.

Cons:
The whole hotel feels like a beehive, noisy, crowded, stressful.
Not a pleasant atmosphere, more of a metro station than a 5 star hotel.
Breakfast was disappointing for a 5 star hotel.
Highly overpriced for these reasons. Its better to stay in the Hsinchu Sheraton and take a cab to Taipei every day than stay here.

Room Tip: Stay at a different hotel.

Stayed for three nights on a business trip. Overall a really great hotel experience and would thoroughly recommend, although nothing stands out as particularly memorable.

My King room on the 15th floor was large enough, had a very comfy bed and great desk for working. Wifi internet was fast and reliable in both the room and public areas. The shower and bath were both generously sized, and water pressure and temperature were fantastic.

I ate in the hotel restaurant buffet one evening, and have to confess I was a little disappointed. Nothing was bad, but it was extremely busy and the variety was a little lacking.

The gym was well-equipped and never crowded.

The location was right nearby a train station, which was very convenient for getting around town… approx. five or six stops to Taipei 101. Having said that, the taxis in Taipei are reasonably priced and reliable, so for short trips taxis are an easier option.

No complaints and would certainly return.

Not sure how old this hotel is, but the room is decent. Yes, the "King" bed is 2 full beds put together. I have no problem with it. The bedding and amenity was OK. Located in the major government offices and a block away from the Shandao subway. We were given rooms that look to the back of hotel not pleasant-- industrial looking. Walking distance to many local eateries. The crowd during the time of our stay is a combination of Chinese tourists and Western business people. It's overwhelmingly busy- felt like a zoo in the lobby; not very relaxing if you're on holiday competing for service attention and dodging people just to get in and out. Architecturally there is nothing to say about the building itself. The hotel is built in a way that all rooms are located around the main dining hall. So, as soon as you leave the room, the smell of food and sound of dining are sensed all the way up to the highest floor. Also, there is no sense of natural light from the ceiling from the center. I wonder why that is, so it's feels dark and dingy in the hallway.

The best part about the hotel is staff-- the check-in to the chamber maids are well trained and professional and courteous.

We did not eat at the hotel, because there are so many places to dine out nearby. Though the buffet seems very popular that there are people queueing for seating everyday for dinner.

Went down for a drink at the hotel bar one night, management may need to rethink continuing to front the awfully crooning Filipino singer. It makes the hotel seems cheesy and low class because the music and voice was that bad. I walked out and did not return the next night even though I felt like leaving my room but not necessarily the hotel because of long touring day. Having anything-- a coin operated jukebox could be better than that offering. So, the lobby is not relaxing to lounge around, the bar is crowd and in the evening awful musicians. In all, it's just a place to sleep at night.

Can't compare or recommend this hotel. Certainly will look into others when in town again.

I would not say excellent but definitely very good.
The location is very good ... next to Shandao Temple MRT station and many good restaurants are in a walking distance (if you are not lazy to walk 10-15 minutes).
The hotel is not new but seems to be well maintained although the room equipment and furnishings seems to be simpler than in some other Sheraton hotels.
The staff is professional ... maybe too much professional if you understand what I mean ... but both check-in and check-out was fast and efficient.
The room was clean with everything in good working condition. The only issue was the internet speed. While the hotel seems to enjoy a decent bandwidth (15 Mbps or so) and each room has a dedicated WiFi access point (which is pretty unusual) the internet access in our room was pretty slow from time to time. It may have been a specific issue related to our access point because it was possible to connect to another access point and everything worked well.
All-in-all, nothing to be specifically remembered but definitely a good place to stay in Taipei.

This was the first and last time I plan to stay here. The room had 2 twin beds and I asked for a king. The room was smaller than I am use to in Taipei. The executive area was inconvient and when I asked if I could eat in the regular restaurant instead of the lounge I was told for a fee...the fee turned out to be the same as regular price..so not really a fee. There are better hotels in Taipei. and would recommend them over this hotel.
