Wonderful as I remembered! Visited again after 2 years and this time it was a family trip with an infant and a preschooler in tow.

We took the junior king suite and although there wasn't much room to run around for the kids, they had a great time using the jacuzzi tub and rain shower. We couldn't get an extra bed into the room due to the space constraints, but we still managed to have a comfortable sleep on the fantastic bed.

Made great use of the room amenities, like the microwave to heat up meals for the baby and sterilized the bottles. The front desk staff were also very helpful when we needed directions to the nearest supermarket and other eating places. Breakfast was inclusive and it was great for the kiddos coz there was porridge, eggs and yogurt (lolz...this sounds like they are easily satisfied).

All in all, it was truly awesome to stay in Tango Nanshi again with the excellent location to anywhere in Taipei and the sincere guest service and experience they offer.

The moment you step into this hotel each time, you have friendly staffs greeting you. The hotel is so cozy, with very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. You don't even feel like leaving the room. The room is really clean and you really feel so pampered with the full toiletries in the room. Mitsukosh shopping is just opposite the hotel. No complaints at all and I am going back for the third time. Love this hotel!

A boutique hotel that is right next to the subway and it's one stop from the Main station. Subway takes to most attractions.
We took a bus from the airport which dropped us off not far from the hotel - from there we grab a cab.
The room was very comfortable. 2 TVs - one the bedroom other in the bathroom. Bathroom was great - spa, shower and a multifunction Japanese toilet! (warm toilet seat for the winter!) Mini bar - complimentary. The pineapple cakes were very nice.
Breakfast varies daily and had a decent selection for Western and Asian. Don't expect the large hotel spread though.
Close to all amenities. There is a Mitsukoshi opposite. Lots of food and shops in the subway as well.
We got around using trains and buses which is very cheap. Do get yourself registered to get free wifi at the Main station.
Only complaint is that the lighting is rather dim as you will read from other reviews. It's dim not just in the rooms but most areas of the hotel.
Reception staff was very helpful.
I may stay here again but I would probably stay at a hotel next the Main station in future as it's easier and faster to get around. More shops around the Main Station.

Room Tip: Do ask for a higher floor for noise reduction as there are road works.

This hotel is aimed at couples and provides a luxury feel at a reasonable (though not cheap) price.

- The amenities you associate with brands like Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental (bathrobes, full toiletries)
- Comfortable bath with Jacuzzi features
- Plenty of free water, some free treats (pineapple cake, soda)
- A nice mixture of Taiwanese and Japanese breakfast with good cappuccino for the included breakfast

- The rooms are small and borderline cramped
- There is no bar or restaurant that will appeal in the hotel
- The nearest subway exit has substantial steps and no elevator
- The shampoo, conditioner and body wash is of a far lower and harsher grade than expected, slightly dampening the benefit for the full toiletries in the room

This hotel is not bad at all, though a little pricy, and while it features most of the facilities of a luxury hotel there are a couple of rough edges. That said, it's only about 70% of the price of the bigger brands, it is in a convenient location, and there is nothing bad about it.

Room Tip: All the rooms are small so aim for the King room if you can.

The goods:
1. Location is definitely a +++ factor. It is situated opposite to a string of departmental stores. Therefore, shopping and meals are not an issue at all.
2. Reception staffs were friendly, helpful, and provides advices when you asked for it.
3. The bathtub has jacuzzi function.
4. You can watch the tv as you soak in the bathtub. There is a dedicated tv for the bathtub.
5. The toilet bowl is of those japanese type, where it will auto open the toilet cover upon sensing your presence. The toilet seat will also be auto-warmed up for you.

The not-so-goods:
1. Staffs are not as fluent in English as I hope them to be. But this is a small issue since they can still cope with basic English.
2. Rooms are small, or rather, the layout of the room makes it looks small. By the time I open up my two luggages on the floor, there isn't room for us to move about.
3. Breakfast selection was very limited and wasn't that appealing. I would suggest to forgo the hotel breakfast. Get out of the hotel and try the local foods.

Do note:
We took a cab from the Airport to the hotel. Being a small boutique hotel, the cab driver is unlikely to know where it is based on the name alone. Ours doesn't. So do prepare the mandarin address of the hotel beforehand to aid in finding the hotel.

The Hotel was very nice, the staff spoke English and were always happy to help us with translations and directions. The breakfast was good, a small mix of Chinese and Western food but it was reasonable and in a nice room. The hotel is quite dark with very dim lighting, we chose the cheapest room with no window.... So there was no natural light but the room was still quite dark as the lights didn't get any brighter.... My recommendation is the hotel was nice and in a good location but pay the normal rate for a window to keep track of night and day. Also another odd feature in our room was the bathroom door was half frosted glass ... So there really wasn't a lot of privacy!

Room Tip: Don't get the windowless room!
