“Okay Airport hotel”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

Okay so for £17 a night this place wasn't ever going to be great. Stopped here for a 27hr connection.

First the hotel is off airport, and takes a good 5-10mins by taxi to reach.

The rooms are large and basic, but clean.

The reception staff are helpful and willing to give you assistance. Including booking for the complimentary hourly airport shuttle.

On arrival the hotel was meant to meet us at the airport, after giving our flight details we were disappointed that on arrival after scouring the pick up point for a good 20 mins no one was there, not exactly what you need after a 16hr flight! On calling the hotel on both numbers provided to no answer we gave up and took a taxi.

Restaurant for dinner is basic but clean and food was tasty. Breakfast was okay, but a limited selection including cold fried eggs and noodles.

There was an abundance of lizards in the hotel, no problem, but the room door was missing a good inch off the top and bottom.

Finally the hotel is set way off the main road down a single lane road, slightly disconcerting, and makes accessibility to anywhere else difficult.

I would recommend this hotel as a budget style airport hotel that is much cheaper than the £100-£150 the international chains are charging at Bangkok International.

I stayed here because it was near to Suvarnabhumi airport, Bangkok and it included a shuttle bus both ways, free of charge.
Pick up was efficient and fast, both ways.
Pick up point well described on booking information.
Reception was also fast and efficient. All you want for staying 1 night.
Big, comfortable room and bed with hot shower and toiletries provided.
Although close to airport very little aircraft noise.
Good night's sleep for an early start at 6am, after a beer in the restaurant. I'd eaten at the airport so can't comment on the food and too early a departure for breakfast.
Very reasonable cost considering location and facilities.
A longer stay would also be perfectly acceptable.

Very cheap, free shuttle runs regularly. Room big but basic, aircon good and all clean . Don't come here if you want a four star hotel , but is great and about $200 cheaper than airport Novotel !
We took a taxi to Mega Bangna shopping centre, great shops, lots of specials ( lots of high priced stuff too!) the shops had an extensive food area with good restaurants and bars. Taxi 150baht from hotel. Worth doing if you need to kill some time

This is definitely not a resort, but more of a budget hotel with a small massage parlour. It's about 15 minutes drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is close considering how huge Bangkok is. We had booked to stay for two non-consecutive stop-over nights on our way through Bangkok. We stayed the first night, but cancelled the second night and booked somewhere else on the way back. We stayed in the new section. The reception area looked modern and inviting, but that's where it ended. It is hard to put a finger on why we disliked the hotel. Perhaps it was the old linen, or outdated decor, or that the room just didn't feel clean, or the ancient, grainy TV with bad signal. The only plus to staying here is the free airport shuttle and close proximity to the airport, or if you are on a tight budget and just need a pillow for the night.

I stayed at the Floral Shire Resort for 1 night whilst changing airports in Bangkok; the plus points were it was reasonably priced at £20 for a twin room & breakfast, there was also a free shuttle to the airport ... Apart from that there wasn't much else to rave about - Room was adequate in size but needed a good clean & the bathroom needed a lot of loving care ..The buffet breakfast was poor with not a great deal of choice & it didn't look very appealing.
This is the sort of place suited for backpackers or if you are on a tight budget

Our family states here for 1 night June 26 such good value clean ,airconditioned and so cheap how could anyone complain we were picked up from the airport and dropped off the next day my kids 15 & 10 loved it breakfast was adequate (we came down late) the restaurant was open late at night on our arrival and were happy to serve me a Thai curry & beer at a very modest price. The cost of a room was cheaper than two drinks at the gold coast Sheraton so that puts it into perspective. Will definitely stop over again thankyou

I would give it more because there were some good points about it but the bad were so bad that one star is all it deserves.

We got 2 rooms

The good
1) there was a free shuttle to and from the airport. There was nobody waiting for us but the airport staff contacted the hotel for us and they came and got us.
2) there was A/C...kind of

The bad
1) both rooms had squeaky bathroom doors and when you are sleeping with other people, that gets annoying fast. Quick fix with some WD40 admin so...do it!
2) both rooms A/Cs started dripping in the middle of the night. Fine for deep sleepers but not me. I thought, okay, it's forgivable but when my travel companions said theirs did the same again people! Routine maintenance! Usually when the split units leak, it is because their drainage system is clogged. Flushing out the units on a regular basis should help that. I would have gone to get someone to fix it but I had someone else in my room sleeping so I felt that them fixing it may do more harm than good for their sleep.
3) we had requested an extra bed. When we got there, it was not ready in our room. We ended up making do because the child it was meant for was very asleep already. In the morning, it was outside the room. Thanks! That was helpful:)
4) no soap was provided except for in the shower on the wall. The shower door was very loud so again, not great when people are sleeping.
5) one of the rooms had an ant infestation. Within 7 hours of our bags in the rooms, they had found the food and there were 2 different trails of ants to the bags. I realize that we are in Thailand but, our bags were all similar so it makes me think that side of the hotel had more of an infestation problem that should be dealt with.

1) They have sprayers on the side of the toilet (for hygienic reasons). We didn't use ours in our room but the other room my companions were in had a sprayer with excrement on it! Disgusting!!! How un-hygienic is that?!
2) One of my travel companions ran up to the room to get something and 3 male-employees were at someone's door. 2 were on the floor looking underneath and one was up looking at the top. When they saw my travel companion they hurried and moved away from the door, pretending that they weren't doing anything. Seriously!!! Peeping Toms! There are "cameras" in the halls so they are either fake or don't work or they don't care what their employees do! How awful!
