I've stayed twice in the past few months. Service is consistently good. The doormen make a point of knowing and recognizing the guests. The concierge also helped with booking reservations, movie tickets, etc and was fantastic. Service at the pool is great. Gym is good too. Overall a great hotel.

The area can be a little busy and you're about 2 blocks off Silom.

Room Tip: Higher floors get you away from the street noise.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed the hotel room and facilities. The pool is lovely. The hotel bar is fantastic, with two exceptionally friendly staff members working there. Our room was lovely - 17th floor with good views of the city. My only complaint, which the hotel can't do much about, is the location of this hotel. It is right in the centre of the main red light district, Patpong, which I didn't realise when I booked it. Also, it is a very long, slow, traffic-filled taxi journey to get to most places. We did use both the boat and Skytrain too, but it took around an hour to get to the main tourist areas - the palace, main temples etc - this route. Getting round Bangkok is very hard work - we even had one taxi driver kick us out at a train station after he had already agreed to take us where we wanted to go, because he changed his mind due to the traffic. So if I returned to Bangkok, I would be more careful about hotel location. However, as I said, if the location is not a problem for you, this is a fantastic hotel.

Bangkok is "punished" with a huge choice of 5-star hotels. But, the stay at the Le Meridien sticks out with a refreshingly different quality. The staff is professional, supportive and friendly. The location is, by default, convenient and in the middle of a vibrant Thai community. The breakfast buffet looks like Sunday brunch, the rooms are spacious and cater for everyone needs.
After 4 days you feel like home, addressed with your name and a bright smile. One can say, yes, its because of the German, young GM but we very much enjoyed the natural approach by all staff. Well done, we will be back for sure!

Room Tip: If money allows try the corner suites.

Everything is right at this hotel. Staff, service, rooms, food, value for money, location.

Staff are always helpful and friendly, this is what stands out, even by Thai standards it is exceptional.

Every room i have had here has been spotless and all in good order. The common areas are modern, clean and welcoming, the bars comfortable, breakfast buffet fantastic.

On one day i had an early start and without asking, the staff prepared a breakfast box for me so that i could get away quickly. Small details make a difference.

I would not stay anywhere else now in bangkok.

Room Tip: View of the temple from the north side.
