“Excellent Hotel, Great Value for Money!”
Reviewed 1 June 2013

The best hotel in Bangkok I've stayed in recently. Spotlessly clean room, corridors and reception. The corridors always smelled of laundry detergent. Even though the rooms are very small, they still feel spacious. Our room came with a kitchenette complete with a microwave oven, a sink, a stove top, an electric kettle (with coffee and tea), and a mini refrigerator. The bathroom had a shower, modern Japanese toilets, a large enough mirror to allow you to properly shave, do your makeup or hair. There was a safe, a hair dryer, a flat screen TV, and a small, foldable table. The beds were comfortable, the aircon was working well, and it was very quiet even though it’s so very close to the main road. The staff was extremely helpful, and got out of their way to get us cabs, and help us find places in the city. The location is great too. There is a supermarket just 1 minute from the hotel, as well as a coffee shop, the Emporium Shopping Mall, and the BTS station. I will definitely return there on my next visit to Bangkok.

We stayed at Check Inn Phromphong 4 nights. I chose this hotel because of its attractive rate. Hotel near to BTS Phromphong. Behind the hotel got Tops Market. We stayed on 4th floor, the higher floor in reception building (new building). It does not have air-conditioning on 4th floor corridor, very hot when we waiting for the lift. Our room got a broken shower door and the sink is too small. Hotel should try to fix it. However, room rate is unbeatable.

Room Tip: Request for big room.

Stayed at Check Inn Phromphong 2 nights last month, I chose this hotel because of its good location on Sukhumvit Road. Just a few minutes walk to Phromphong BTS, close to Shopping centre, the Park and also there are several restaurants, food hawkers and convenient shops dotted around the Sukhumvit area.

My superior room was clean. There is no balcony but the windows can be open.the toilet is small no bath tube only hand shower with good hot water. There is a kitchenette in room so it is very convenient for you to cook your own favourite dish.

Breakfast is included in my booking. Compare to another resort I used to stay, breakfast here is too simple not variety of food but it is not a big deal. You will get what you paid for. Its quality is fine. BTW, you can ask for free WIFI password from the front desk upon check-in. I do not have any complain about the WIFI as it is fast and can be used well both in my room and at the lobby. If I go to Bangkok again, I may choose to stay here again. If

Location wise it was great, near to the train station and there are good food around.
It was new year eve, and we even walked to the nearby park to watch the firework instead of joining the crowd outside Central.

Hotel is small and air con is abit weak but ok. It has a very small kitchen within a small room which kinda stink at the sink area but other than that it was good value since we only need a place to shower and rest for the night

Hotel is clean but there is a drinking place downstairs facing the hotel and it can be noisy if the patrons were drunk and start talking loudly.

The room was very small but had very new, modern features including a great bathroom. The staff were really friendly, particularly the concierge! Breakfast and wifi were both good. The hotel is located just off the main road sukhumvit and therefore near a BTS station which was very convenient. The area is very different to the more touristy west (Khoasan road etc) and is definitely worth visiting.

I stayed here for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night as the room was very small.I didnt try the breakfast so I can`t comment on it.In the room was a small kitchen which was a total waste of time and space. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is near to the BTS station.

The location is great, around the corner from a main street, in a residential neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to great public transportation,. Yes, the rooms are small, but we didnt stay in the rooms much. Even though small they are well designed, well lit, immaculately clean, and the kitchenette was great to have for our 10 day stay. Good mini-supermarket just around the corner. We stayed in the B wing (newest) with twin beds, and had a room facing away from the street, with a glass block window that didn't open, but then we had no noise from the street which I heard may be a problem with the front rooms that overlook an outdoor "pub" on the street. The outdoor "pub" is actually a nice neighborhood touch; we met some interesting people there during our stay. There is a pretty park nearby and a huge mall by the skytrain station. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was adequate but uninspired so we supplemented it with fruit bought from the many food stalls in the neighborhood.

Room Tip: For quiet choose a room facing away from the street.
