I have stayed at the Prince a couple of times, although I'm not too sure why. The Hotel itself is a 70's style place which I believe was buit for soldiers on leave from the Vietnam war. The rooms are ordinary at best, with very old furnishings and ugly, sticky carpet. The service is quite good with staff happy to greet you. There are safety boxes at reception but no in room safe. The breakfast is nothing special but is quite edible, it's buffet style. They have a nice pool & surrounding area outside. There is a small bar with a pool table & a karaoke/DVD type cinema room with a rear projection TV. They do charge a 200 Baht joiner fee, and have a large indian presence staying at the hotel.
In future I will look for a better hotel in a better location for similar money, I would reccomend for others to do the same.
