Perfect location for temple tracking in Bangkok, pier station nr. 13 opening just from the hotel's restaurant.
Breakfast very various and delicious.
Prices budget friendly.
Rooftop pool amazing.
Khao San road just few minutes away.

Room Tip: No need to choose river view room, the river itself is not nice :)

Don't be fooled by how it looks upon arrival, once you make your way back into the hotel it is very nice. Quite a distance from the airport however our transfer cost only 500THB for an hours driving. Very close to Khaosan Road. We stayed in the Serene Corner Room, and had no troubles whatsoever. It was a lovely spacious room with a balcony. Although the hotel is close to a road with lots of bars on it, we had no problems with noise. The breakfast was lovely (a buffet), and the seating area looks over the river, from which there is easy transport via the river taxis (there is a port right at the hotel). The rooftop pool was also lovely and offered great views of the river. Would fully recommend.

great hotel, stayed here for 5 nights in room 701,

large rooms, nice linen, good water pressure and good hot water, friendly staff, quite rooms *good sound insulation*

only downsides (if you would call them that) are the internet wasn't particularly fast, i found it easier to use the 4G phone data, bed was a little on the hard side not that it bothered me,
and the room was probably the most expensive out of my whole trip, but money well spent

would happily stay there again,

Room Tip: perhaps a room thats further away from the lift, as the corridors project alot of noise with childre...

The hotel is located on the river (some rooms have beautiful river views, other tin shed roof view) close to many economical eateries. You will likely need transport to visit town, better restaurants or tourist sites, but the hotel staff don't assist in communicating with drivers.

Rooms are fine with quirks- AC is slow to cool rooms so staff advise to leave AC on always.

Breakfast was very good, right on the river. The internet worked well except you need to keep re-entering your password.

Service is minimal, especially for a "boutique hotel".

Next time we plan to try the nearby Riva Surya- looks a step up!

We totally concur with all the other POSITIVE comments about this cool little hotel, but what makes it memorable is an amazing incident. A new receptionist failed to return my credit card (they admitted it was her mistake), and when we realized it at Suvarnabhumi airport--a 45-min cab ride away--we were devastated and frantic because we knew what a horrible hassle we were in for. As we were in the midst of panic mode, Mr. Jiranthanin Kumdee, Front Desk manager, walked up to us in the ticketing area and handed us our card!! He had followed in another cab when he realized what had happened and actually found us at that sprawling airport!! Say whatever negative things you want about the Navalai and its staff, but we won't listen to a word!!

Room Tip: We thoroughly enjoyed the bustling people parade and action of the street from our balcony, but had...

After about a 45minute drive from Suvarnabhumi airport we arrived at Navalai River Resort with a warm welcome from the reception staff. They offer you a cool wet flannel assisted with a glass of cold fruit juice, this is well needed after a long day of travelling. The staff made a good first impression on behalf of the hotel.

The room was spacious and clean with excellent air conditioning which is needed in the humidity of Bangkok.

The roof top pool provides you with a miraculous view over the city, and is great when you need to cool off after a day of exploring.

The hotel is in a great location, just a five minute walk away from Khao San Rd as well as being right beside the river.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Navalai River Resort!
