“Wish I had more time to enjoy..........”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

Unfortunately I had only one night at Navalai River Resort (up at 3am for early flight!) but I wish I could have enjoyed another night before flying home. Considering i had been traveling Thailand for 3 weeks on a backpacker budget, Navalai River Resort was a welcome retreat, especially in 37degree Bangkok heat. I had a gorgeous room on the 5th floor and although it was not river view (more $$$$) it suited me perfectly as I loved sitting on my balcony watching Bangkok life go by. The aircon was delicious, bed comfortable, bathroom impeccably clean and the mini bar stocked. The rooftop pool was big with lots of comfy lounges spread about and I enjoyed a welcome swim while a huge storm raced towards Bangkok. I didn't eat at the restaurant but the menu was extensive. All in all I would not hesitate to stay again, very challenging to get out of a comfy bed early hours of the morning but grateful for tea and coffee facilities to enjoy on the balcony before heading to the airport.

Room Tip: A river view room would possibly be a little more quiet as I could hear the nightlife on the street...

This was our 3rd time to Bangkok and booked this hotel as somewhere to relax after cambodia, before the long journey home. Couldn't have been more please! Location was just what we needed, room had a balcony with a view of the river which was perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by (even at 5am). Easy taxi ride to and from mbk. Good food and friendly staff serving the food! Would and will stay here again! Thanks :-)

Stayed here for 4 nights early July ands was very impressed. Had a river view room with balcony which was great for having a few drinks while watching the sun set over the river. The air-con was excellent (it was extremely humid outside). Room was clean and comfortable. The roof top pool and bar were an amazing way to relax after a day of temple hopping. Location was excellent, right on the river with a pier directly in front of the hotel. A very short walk to streets of restaurants, bars and markets, 5min walk to khao San road and 10min walk to grand palace. The breakfast buffet was great (it included some of the best bacon I had ever had). The customer service was great. Will definitely stay here again when in Bangkok.

Room Tip: Worth getting a river view room if your budget allows.

We stayed here for Three nights. We game here after our flight. Very nice pool on the roof. Taxiboat stops right at the hotel, a very conveniënt and cheap way of travelling. Breakfast was included and a nice buffet with some western and local dishes. Walking distance to khao san (5min)
Only negatieve part is that you are charged per day of luggage storage even If you are staying there again.

We have stayed at the Navalai previously and decided on a last minute booking to stay here again. We were warmly welcomed and the receptionist recognised us a from our previous stay. The rooms are clean and well looked after. It was very hot and the Air Con worked well.
We love the location of this hotel, a short walk through Rambuttri and you are pretty much at Khao San Rd. There is also a water taxi stop at the back of the hotel.
Breakfast is quite good with a nice variety.
Would stay here again, we find it very good value for money and love the location.

Perfect location for temple tracking in Bangkok, pier station nr. 13 opening just from the hotel's restaurant.
Breakfast very various and delicious.
Prices budget friendly.
Rooftop pool amazing.
Khao San road just few minutes away.

Room Tip: No need to choose river view room, the river itself is not nice :)

Don't be fooled by how it looks upon arrival, once you make your way back into the hotel it is very nice. Quite a distance from the airport however our transfer cost only 500THB for an hours driving. Very close to Khaosan Road. We stayed in the Serene Corner Room, and had no troubles whatsoever. It was a lovely spacious room with a balcony. Although the hotel is close to a road with lots of bars on it, we had no problems with noise. The breakfast was lovely (a buffet), and the seating area looks over the river, from which there is easy transport via the river taxis (there is a port right at the hotel). The rooftop pool was also lovely and offered great views of the river. Would fully recommend.
