“Decent club and bar strip”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

RCA is a good destination for a fun night out in Bangkok. Your best bet to get over there is to catch the MRT into Phetchaburi and hail a quick taxi from there for a couple of minutes.

The crowd is mostly student/ middle-class Thais with a good amount of travelers and expats thrown in the mix. No tricks, scams, "working girls", sex shows etc... just a good and fun night out for those less interested in the seedy-side of Bangkok.

I highly recommend Cosmic Cafe for good live alternative music (they had a rad Rage Against the Machine + Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band playing) and Route66 for some late night partying/ dancing/ hooking up/ whatever your fancy.

Cheap food stalls at the start of the strip are open late to meet any drunken cravings. Expect to haggle hard for a reasonable cab fare home. Recommended.

“Good Party place, weird crowd”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

Every thing was good about the clubs here. been to route 66 and slim/flix. Good DJs, sound systems, deco, set up and huge space! However, I felt like i wasn't even in thailand, over the weekends, almost half the people there were foreigners, specifically in route 66, I think part of the point of partying overseas is also to party like/with the locals and this isn't the place to go. Maybe you can check out thong lor or ratchada area.

the place is awsomely themed, with a arcade and numerous clubs lined up. you get an adrenaline rush, the moment you are about to enter the premises. foreigners need to pay a cover charge, and show ID cards (Passports) and get a drink free inside. 300TB when i last visited. you name it you have it. world class pubs & discos, enclosed open air, RnB, EDM, House, Reggae, Live bands MEtal, Thrash, everything avaialible. the crowd makes the place. It depicts how much the Bkk people party. it is the most famous amongst the locals. 7:3::locals:Foreigners, but very warm and welcoming people. you will never feel out of place. Must visit, if you in Bkk to make your trip worth it. 5 STARS. for sure.

“House RCA: Home Sweet Home for Indie Film Buffs”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

Nightlife at RCA sucks but hidden in a derelict shopping centre (where Tops and Fuji are) is BKK's best art-house cinema (the other being Apex Siam) with only two theatres screening indie movies both Thai and foreign (award winners like Sweden's Let the Right One In and Iran's A Separation included) as well as the occasional blockbuster hit. Believe it or not, this is where I have seen feature films from Brazil, Turkey, Spain, Germany and even Iceland. However, due to limited demand for limited releases, they are now replaced by Thai documentaries, Asian dramas or top box office titles, not to mention that sometimes the boutique cinema is closed for events. To avoid any disappointment, it's best to check "House Rama RCA" Facebook page in advance.
