“Great choice for a stopover.”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Stayed here for 1 night on layover between flights.. Perfect hotel for a stopover. Place does not look great outside but rooms are clean. There is a small cafe at the hotel which we did not use. Transfer to and from airport was very efficient in a private car. If you use their transfer service , go to 2nd floor departures door. There is a meeting point there . Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from a mall , where you have shopping, restos, supermarket, and a fabulous massage salon on the ground floor. Overall , this hotel is good value for money if you need a place for a stopover.

Stayed one night as a family of 6 (kids aged 8-14) as stopover on the way to Koh Tao. Prepaid for a pick up, which was a little hard to find and for which we had to wait 15 minutes or so while the driver came round, but it all worked fine. Not the greatest looking from the outside, but the rooms are very clean, good AC, comfy bed and friendly enough staff. It seems to be next to a very popular road for noisy motorbikes / scooters, which led to a disturbed night sleep - a shame. Breakfast was included and was excellent, the transfer back to the airport also fine - but here is where it gets good. My daughter had left her hand luggage in the restaurant at breakfast as we got in the car. The staff found it and got reception to phone our driver who stopped and asked if we were missing a back - I wasn't sure and thought 'No', but he kept insisting there was a back at the hotel, so we checked again and sure enough, we realised we had left it behind. So we turned around, got the bag back and got to the airport no problem. Honest, patient and friendly - thank you! My daughter learned a valuable lesson that day...

This hotel was perfect for what I needed - a clean and convenient place to spend the night between flights at BKK Suvarnabhumi airport. Hotel has its own car and driver, and my wait was only about 15 minutes after landing and getting my baggage. Room was comfortable and clean, and has a real separate walk-in shower. In the morning, the wake-up call came as requested and the driver was ready when I came down the elevator at 4:45 am. Only about 10 minutes to the airport at that time of the morning. Only minor complaint is the noise from the road at night. Hotel is half a block off the main road, so it is not constant, but the occasional loud motorcycle can be heard pretty clearly. But earplugs can take care of that. Left too early for breakfast, so can't comment on the food. As others have said, not too far a walk to a 7-11 or Tesco and night market and plenty of street food for evening meal if your flight arrives early enough.
Bottom line - perfect for this purpose and a great value. Going back through Bangkok next month and have already booked a room at the Ivory for that trip.

Stayed in this hotel for several days, chose it as it was close to the airport yet convenient to go to the city.
Here is what you should know:
Good A/C. Very nice stuff. Good inexpensive restaurant. 7/11 in 5 minutes walk ( if you go in the airport direction ). Small shopping plaza with Tesco express and some small restaurants/shops in 8 minutes walk ( if you go in the city direction ).
If you want to visit the city, this is what you should do: Catch a cab on the street to "Lat Krabang airport rail link" for about 60 baht. It is 5 minutes drive. From there, take the train to the city. Shouldn't take more than half an hour. Return the same way - take the airport link to "Lat Krabang" and take a taxi from there. I never had to wait for a taxi more than 5 minutes. No need to ask the hotel for the airport transfer - just catch a cab on the street - it would be twice as cheap.

When I read some reviews here i just wonder what some people do expact from a room for less than 1000 THB per night. Of course this is not a 3 or 4 star hotel, the ivory Bangkok is very good if you have a stopover. it is not build for spending your whole holidays here.

From the international airport to the hotel it only takes about 10 minutes by car. The Ivory provides a pick up service which operated perfectly for us.
Rooms are clean (sheets, bad, towels) and spacious enough. Breakast choice is limited but ok (american, continental and thai).

Staff is very friendly and helpful altouhg they have limited english skills. But hey, you are in SEA here:-)

The only thing you have to know it is rather noisy because the building is next to a main road. But if you close the window it should be ok for one or two nights.

I had a 10 hour layover in Bangkok and did not want to go into the city or spend much money on a hotel. The Ivory was perfect for my needs. Their private car promptly picked me up at the airport. The room was very clean. Bed was a little hard, but I still slept soundly. I was departing too early for breakfast but the front desk prepared a bag with chips, juice and a tuna sandwich to go. Delivered back to the airport right on time to catch my flight. Highly recommend for an economy airport hotel.
