Cozy Bangkok Place is hard to find and out of the way, our taxi from the airport had to call twice to find it. It is clean, but the showers have low water pressure. The owner seems a little off her rocker and doesn't hesitate to tell you if you speak at a normal volume past 8pm. I wouldn't recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy a dinner past their closing, when she goes to her home on the fourth floor. The price is right, however don't try to have too much fun on your trip.

Very impressed with this hostel after staying in many different hotels (which were triple the price of cozy) over the past 17days this was the nicest and most comfortable in our opinion. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel was spotless everywhere including the lobby area, bathrooms and bedrooms. For a very busy city this is the perfect getaway from all d hustle and bustle. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Bangkok as couldn't get better value for money.

The thing that makes this place so nice is the fact that it's located in a quiet area with only thai people living there. No big shops or ho(s)tels. At first you think am i going the right way, into an alley but it's the right way. The hostel itself has a nice sereen and relaxing feeling. Small kitchen and eating area and free coffee and tea. Two computers available for a small price. I think 10bth for half an hour. And free wifi. I stayed in a female dorm with six beds. With aircon, wich worked pretty well, but get's cold during nighttime and you only get a thin blanket. But i guess you can ask for another one. They have big locker space (my backpack fitted in and small bag too) wich you get a key to lock too. The bathrooms are very clean and profided with shampoo and showercreme. Downside is when people talk loud or slam the door you can hear that very well. It's not far from the trainstation and subway, but if you want to go to khao san for example it's a 30/40 min walk, wich i don't mind. But tuktuk and taxi easy to find.

Stayed in one of the 'love bird' double rooms on the top floor for 3 nights after flying into BKK.
The room was fine, clean with a comfortable bed, and both fan and air con! The shared bathroom on the top floor was also good, very clean! This hostel was nice and quiet, on a nice residential backstreet not too far from Hua Lumpong station. There's a lady selling very tasty street food at the end of the road too! Wifi available in downstairs common area. Overall a great place to base yourself whilst exploring the city. My boyfriend enjoyed the cheap soft drinks available in the lobby.

This guest house is very close to the hua lamphong train station, about a 5 min walk. We stayed here for 1 night before getting the overnight train to explore the southern islands of Thailand. We were very tired after just getting of a 12 hour flight from the uk and checked in around 9:30pm. Mrs cozy greeted us with a friendly welcome and promptly showed us to our private room on the 4th floor, a lot of steps so not for the unfit. The rooms are basic but very clean and well air conditioned. Toilet and showers were also clean and shampoo/soap in also provided if u need. All in all a very good guest house for the price you pay. They also have cooking facilities and a washing machine so you can do your own washing, a nice touch we though.

Thanks!

Room Tip: Rooms higher up are quieter.

THE GOOD: Clean and comfortably private fan rooms that are a good value for Bangkok. Free tea/coffee/water downstairs and easy to find by foot from the train station as they have decent signage up on the main roads (its hidden in a local neighborhood) BUT it might be hard to get to by tuk tuk / taxi if the driver comes from certain directions. Just walk.

Also, you can't bring unregistered "guests" to your room and they make this VERY CLEAR to you (with signs up everywhere as reminders) that its a "family orientated place" plus there are cameras around in case someone gets any other ideas as there is no 24/7 receptionist.

THE NOT SO GOOD: The last time I stayed here was during the floods the previous year on the 3rd floor and it was MUCH QUIETER. This time around, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor with a window facing the courtyard, but there was no glass or window in it plus the walls are all thin - so it was bit noisy (they provide ear plugs).

There was also a surprising number of mosquitoes in the lobby in the early evening as well BUT that is Thailand for you...

Food is more limited in this area, but there is a small but decent supermarket (MaxValue - try Google maps to find it) hidden in the basement of a building across from the train station and sort of across from the canal towards Chinatown...

Room Tip: I stayed here was during the floods the previous year on the 3rd floor and it was MUCH QUIETER than...

The best advantage of Cozy Bangkok is that it's located very near to Hualampong Railway Station and MRT. It is convenient to take a MRT and travel around or taking a train to the airport. Interior design wise it is very nice as it remains the authentic style of Thai building structure.

However, the owner definitely has to work on it's sound proof system. During my first night of stay, I was awaken by loud footsteps from the family staying above my room. The wooden floor that they were stepping was the ceiling of my room. Hence, the sound created could penetrate directly to the room below (my room).

The next day, I then requested to change to a new room where it was a cement ceiling. The problem was solved but the noises created by people outside the room was still being heard. I think it was because the building structure were made from wood.

It's convenient to catch a public bus at the main road outside Cozy Bangkok. Personally, I like to travel by bus because I can see more on the people's lifestyle. The helpful managers are happy to direct you the ways to catch a bus!
