Myself and my partner spent 3 nights art Cozy Bangkok Place Hostel in September 2013, and it cost 833 Baht for a double room with shared bathrooms, with hot showers. The room had A/C and there was free wi-fi throughout the building. There was also drinking water and a communal lounge and kitchen.
The hostel was very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. We found the A/C in our room very noisy, but worth the extra money as it was so hot outside. The curtains in our room were too small for the windows, so the light shone through which was a bit of a shame. Towels were provided for us, but there was no sheet on the bed, just huge towels, which we used as bed-covers.
We found the cost of the hostel slightly pricey, taking into account the few negatives we have mentioned. Back in July and September 2011 we paid 590 Baht for similar rooms in two different hostels, with en-suites not communal bathrooms. Granted this was a long time ago so prices will have risen, and both of these were near Khao San Road, so hostels are probably cheaper it that area.
Reception staff were quite helpful but they had no map in English, so getting your bearings around the area was a little tough to start with. The hostel is in a great location, a short walk from the main train station and bus stops. We also walked to the nearest ferry stop, which was a little bit of a walk, but it took us through some of the back alleys, so we saw some of the "real" Bangkok, if you like.
