We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite which made the stay all that more special. The corner room had an incredible view of Bangkok. The room was very nice, so much so that we didn't leave it much actually! The bed was fantastic so we were able to catch up on much needed sleep! After this long weekend trip we felt relaxed and happy. Can't wait for the VIE cigar lounge to be done.
The location is walking distance from all the shopping district of Bangkok like Siam Paragon, and is right in front of a Sky train stop, which in Bangkok rush hour is a must.
Will definitely come back... makes my choice between this hotel and the Muse Hotel very hard!

I had stayed at this hotel twice a few years ago and came back recently just before the Chinese New Year festive period to take a short break. The hotel showed a high level of maintenance as I had thought that over time, there would be obvious wear and tear - no chipped furniture corners, no discolouration of curtains and carpets, no worn-out table tops although there were minor wooden floor scratches and one hairline crack on a shower tile which were quite the norm even for any 5 star hotel. The room, particularly the bed and bathroom, was so comfortable that my family had difficulty leaving it for our meals and other activities. The staff - from the front desk to the security, housekeepers, restaurant waitresses and doormen were ever so warm, helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious and kept our family's bellies growing. So was the hotel location where one can easily walk about 100 metres from the hotel to access the Ratchathewi bangkok rail transit (BTS) station to reach other parts of Bangkok conveniently. Getting to the airport was also a breeze by taxi as the turnoff into the expressway leading to our international flights was nearby the hotel. My family and I will continue to taste this good old wine whenever we visit Bangkok.

We loved the Vie hotel.

Where to start..... having taken the sky train from the airport to the hotel (a synch) we walked about 20 feet and were at the entrance to the hotel.

The entrance was really impressive, the door man came running down the drive way to greet us, even though we were dressed like bums as had just come from Krabi.

Reception check in was very efficient and we were shown to our room, when the girl explained the various facilities such as mini bar, TV , safety deposit box etc.

The room was huge, there were his and hers wardrobes, hilariously his had the safe in it hers had the ironing board!! A huge desk/dressing table, TV with THANK THE LORD, very clear instructions on what channels were available (this is not always the case in some hotels). The bed was so big, in fact if I was going to make a complaint it would be that the bed was too big, I felt like I was on holiday by myself as if I did a big star fish I could not reach by other half.
There were two arm chairs with a small table, a fridge stocked with beer, waters, soft drinks, chocolates, plus there were small bottles of spirits and snacks available. Water was left (free) every time the room was cleaned).

There was slippers, robes and flip flops to use.

The shower was walk in style with two heads, the loo was behind a door and there was a huge bath (took ages to fill).

Toiletries were replenished every day. The room was made up twice, once during the day then again when they came to do the turn down. Water and fresh toiletries were left both times, towels straightened, bed made etc.

All the staff were really helpful and courteous at all times.

The pool was great, it was just what was needed after a hectic day on Bangkok, there were not a lot of sunbeds but then again it was not very busy, there was small bar where you could get soft and alcoholic drinks and you could order food to be delivered to your sun bed.

The pool was not heated but that did not bother us. It was long enough to be able to do some laps but by no means large.

We did not use the gym or spa but it looked to be well equipped.

We didn’t use the bars or food options simply because the food on the street is so good, and it was really expensive compared to the room which was actually really cheap.

The hotel was in walking distance to the main shopping area including MBK and Siam Square and with the sky train right on the door step a lot of places were instantly accessible.

If I ever find myself in Bangkok again, I would definitely stay here again.

Feel free to ask my any questions.

Lovely room, high ceiling, beautiful linen and extremely comfortable pillows and there was a super large bathroom , the room had a great atmosphere and no street noise at all. a very extensive room service menu was offered with reasonable prices( the Pad Thai was tasty yet managed to be innovative at the same time)
Complimentary water bottles each day and turn down service , newspaper minibar, extensive TV channel choices, robes and two kinds of slippers etc, all the things you expect from a five star property. It felt like a mini suite although I only booked the lead in category room, a lovely sanctuary after a big day exploring Bangkok.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast buffet with a huge range of items to satisfy taste buds from all over the world. The black coffee was strong and the tea choices great. The bar of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice allowed you to make your own mix.
Location is perfect as well 5-10 min to MBK mall, Siam Discovery and 1 min to BTS/Skytrain.
If you want some local street food and other restaurants nearby, turn right as you exit the hotel and then next right to get to pratunam markets within 5-10 min walk (or jump in a cab/hotel tuk tuk and go to Chinatown.)
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it has a very warm feel and provides five star facilities and service with a welcoming atmosphere .

Room Tip: I don't think there is a "bad room" they are all on high floors and as I mentioned abo...

Have spent 3 nights at the VIE Hotel in Bangkok during a stop over from Asia to Europe and had a very nice stay there. The location of the hotel is just perfect: walking distance to the greatest shooping malls (if you don't mind to sweat a few minutes ;), BTS/Skytrain station almost in front of the hotel. Huge room, nice and clear bathroom with comfortable bathtube and perfect service. the breakfast is very well served with many options.
100% recommended, already planning a trip to bring my family.

Room Tip: Upper floors rooms = greater view
