Tuptim is in an excellent location on the street parallel to KSR. Rooms are clean and great value as far as I remember. We stayed in a twin and it cost €7 each. Bathrooms very clean and with hot water. It was a bit annoying that we had to pay a deposit on the towels, but aside from that the service was good and receptionist was friendly. Breakfast was included. Just tea and toast I think. I can't comment on the noise outside because I think we didn't arrive back until the bars were well closed.

I booked my first two nights in BKK in Tuptim B&B, as I wanted to be central to food and monuments but away from the madness of Khao San road. I got a single room which is ok, very basic and tiny (luckily there was another bed where to put my stuff or two people could not move in there). The place is very clean, toilets albeit shared are ok, and they are separated for male and female. Unfortunately the problems started when I tried to sleep, there are two bars which have live music that starts at 7pm and goes on until 1 am. So I could not sleep at all for two nights, and had to change guesthouse afterwards. I will not recommend if you are trying to catch up with sleep after a long flight!

Tuptim is my go-to place if I want to stay around Khao San road. It's one of the cheapest places around and although basic for the money you can't complain. Free wi-fi (sometimes intermittant), shared bathroom, clean, breakfast included and you pay 30bt for safety deposit at main desk. Beds are quite comfortable. Air-con has no control so it can get too cold. The place is quite noisy because of it's location but everywhere around this area is probably the same. Staff are mostly friendly. Does the job and for the price and location it gets 4 stars.

We have stayed here for 3 nights, we checked in at 5am on the first day expecting to pay full price just to sleep until check out, and they gave us another night, hemce the reason we stayed on. Yes its basic, but youre in kao san, what do you expect for the price range. The facilities are clean, nice warm shower, very clean toilets, always someone on reception to help, even if with just a grunt. Breakfast is toast and coffee, everything else appears to be well overpriced and uninspiring, but we did not try. We had one small problem with forgetting to pay for 2 beers, and they woke us up at 11pm with a policeman saying that we owed them money. Maybe an error of judgement on their behalf, but it all felt a bit daft to us, so overall, we laughed it off.

Didnt stay here. Just reviewing the food as its actually a bistro as well. Ate breakfast here. Ordered a american breakfast with extra tomato. It says on the menu that it is bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, hash brown, fruit, juice and tea. I got no bacon or sausage. I actually laughed when i saw how stupidly bare the plate looked. The hashbrown was tiny and stone cold. The pineapple was off. I didnt complain. Went to pay and they said 165 baht but then her freind chimed in and said i owed 200? Apparently because i asked for bacon when i saw there was none. I questioned this and she explained it to me in such a twisted way that i just laughed at how stupid she sounded then paid and walked out. Very silly. Its a shame that there not much different to the cab drivers out the front when it comes to ripping off tourists.

Located in the busy street, this place has decent rooms with clean shared toilets with hot water. The AC can't be controlled and could get very cool at night... and wifi doesn't always work. And restaurant is over priced for their service. But again, the rooms are decent, and clean, and is amazing value for money. It's definitely not a party people's place, and that's rare to find in Bangkok. Really friendly people at reception. It might be not as comforting to be asked to pay everyday in advance, but one should understand that they are getting a decent rooms for budget prices.

Room Tip: Make sure you take a room on the first floor and further from the road. This way you may have good w...

The bed & Breakfast is situated in Soi Rambuttri, a parralele street of Khaosarn Road. It is a bit noisy but not as bad as Khaosarn Road, there is a bit of music playing live band in the late evening but bearable.the rooms are just ordinary but confortable , there is toilets and showers for men and women separated, but for the price it is a good deal that included the light breakfast, toasts and butter/jam and coffee/tea, wifi for free in the rooms and in the restaurant too. So if the restaurant is not busy you can sit as long as you wanted and stuck with the net.

Room Tip: actuelly there is no tip for the room , coz there is only a small number of rooms and it is advisabl...
