We stayed here on the frist night of our honeymoon. We arrived to find flowers on our bed and our tub floating with flowers. The location is great right off the sky train! We enjoyed the beautiful horizon pool. Our stay was rounded out with an amazing breakfast in the morning!!!

Our first room was quiet, near the gardens. The hotel was so lovely that we extended our stay so that we could relax and take a rest before our midnight flight back to the states. Since our room was already booked, they moved us to a lovely suite, over looking the canal. It was a perfect end to our vacation.

Please note, however, that if you are a light sleeper, you may not want to be near the canal since you can hear the motor boats passing regularly.

The food in the hotel restaurant is quite good, especially the homemade desserts.

We came to Bangkok on our honeymoon and after much study before our trip ,we found Ariyasomvilla. Our villa was excellent just the same as shown in trip Advisor. The staff great, nothing was a problem and if they could help they did.The owner David made himself available to staying guest and visiting diners with great chit chat on all subjects. The villas are in easy walking distance to sky train and all amenities.10 out of 10 for this holiday destination.

I had the pleasure of staying here on two occasions in the last month. It was a true oasis in Bangkok. The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. Special thanks to Ms Chantaluk on reception. I was unwell and had to go to Bumrungrad Hospital, a few doors down, and all the staff were extremely kind to me. The owner, David, was also very kind, and being a solo traveller, unwell in a foreign country, I felt very safe and that I was in the right place. David's desserts in the restaurant are also wonderful! Don't let the street put you off, I found it to be quite safe. There seems to be plenty of security, as there are guards and personnel in the street, due to the hospital. Also a lot of street vendors that the medical personal buy food from. Nice little coffee shop Elefin, down the Soi, and also nice spa at the Hansar. Very close walk to the sky train and extremely easy to get to MBK, Nana, and Chatachuk markets, even for someone like me who has no sense of direction! I definitely recommend Ariyasom and would stay there any time I'm in Bangkok.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly. Thai people in general are amazingly hospitable. The restaurant served excellent vegetarian food. Lots of mosquitos in the restaurant at night. Our room was located over the restaurant which meant it was VERY noisy and bright until about 1am each night. Our shower flooded the bathroom floor each time we showered because it was no well designed. Our toilet broke the last night we were there and couldn't be repaired while we were there. This hotel feels like you are staying in someone's home which some people will enjoy. The location is not good for walking around and, aside from the hotel restaurant, there is nothing within 15 minutes of walking. The hotel is at the end of a dirty lane way, near noisy roads. I would rate this hotel as AVERAGE in the bargain category. Maybe we got a particularly bad room? We didn't see any others to compare them. This hotel is comparable to an Econolodge or Super 8. If you are looking for something more luxurious, there are many options for a wee bit more money.

Room Tip: Do NOT choose the room over the restaurant.

Just back from our trip to Thailand. My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this fantastic small hotel. It was just as it is described on Tripadvisor. If you have been sightseeing the whole day in Bangkok coming back to Ariyasomvilla was a relaxing treat. I have to say though we got a room the first night on the ground floor facing the river and there are taxiboats going by frequently and they are loud. Unfortunately there were also roosters around the corner so if you are a light sleeper make sure you do not get these rooms. We asked to change and were accomodated. Got a fantastic room beautifully decorated and away from the noice. The food was delicious and vegetarian. Had a great thai massage. The skytrain is a short walk from the hotel. The staff takes care of you the thai way, always smiling and helpful. Would go back to this hotel again. I prefer smaller exclusive hotels instead of big shiny skyscrapers.

We spent 4 nights at the Ariyasomvilla in May 2012 and were very happy to stay there, as the house is located 10 minutes walk from the BTS station and is a beautiful old Bangkok house. After a few hours in the frenetic city, you enter an oasis of calm and peacefulness. We had room 110 which is in front of the swimming pool. The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was immense with a great spa-bathtub.
We enjoyed the spa (outdoor) and had two massages, that were great. The pool is perfect and it is a nice way to relax after a day in the busy streets and monuments of the Thai capital.
What we really liked a lot was the restaurant. Ariyasomvilla's restaurant is a vegetarian gourmet restaurant and the food was excellent. They have traditional Thai dishes with all kind of tofus, vegetables and vegi-meat. They have some fish and sea-food dishes that are excellent as well.
The hotel is the quintessence of boutique hotel with a personal and friendly touch. It is the antithesis of a huge 5 stars corporate kind of hotel and that was exactly what we were looking for.
I would like to add that there was a problem during the first night with the A/C unit in our room, and although they couldn't fix it, the staff did all they could to repair the unit as quickly as possible and eventually we moved in another room for that night and the unit was fixed the next day. This kind of problem can occur unexpectedly and I must say that they dealt it with a great sense of service, quickly and very politely. Therefore, even if our first night was not the best, we spent 4 great days in this little oasis of calm in the middle of this lively city.
