“a lovely veggies place ”
Reviewed 13 October 2013 via mobile

After I watch the Sunday TV show that recommend the place that serve you the veggies food during the veggies festival in Thailand . I and friend agree to visit this lovely greeny boutique hotel in the center of Bangkok for lunch . The hotel is in a walking distant from BTS and just behind the the famous Bumrungrad Int Hospitsl , when you arrived ,you would meet with a friendly staff and owner greeting you and made you feel like visit your friend 's place. The veggies food is great , the seafood (for my friend) is also good. I like to recommend a drink , which is a mint mixed with lemon shake ...it is such a great combination and good for fresh up you in the lazy afternoon. I will definitely recommend this place to friends , especially is a vegeterian person !

ahhh... this little gem is just a notch above the rest! :) We're so glad we found it. The price is a little more, but you get a "lot more"! :) This little jewel is located near Bumrungrad hospital, near the sky train, & easy access to central Bangkok. The rooms are lovely & so quiet ( esp. the rooms NOT on the river side) The staff are very friendly & attentive. The meals are all vegetarian, & very delicious. I did not use the pool , but it did look very inviting! The owner & his wife are very personable, & usually can be found chatting to the clients or staff , & making sure that all is going well for all of them. It is their attention to detail that is so impressive. As well, they do offer some yoga classes on specific days, as well as occasional visiting speakers of meditation etc. We will go back to this place when in BKK next! Highly recommended for solo women, and romantic get aways esp., altho all sorts would probably appreciate what the Ariyasomvilla has to offer!

Room Tip: pick a room with a balcony, overlooking the gardens. If you choose the riverside, you will have the...

Ariyasomvilla is a lovely and tranquil oasis in the heart of bustling Bangkok. We arrived well after midnight and were greeted with fruit juice and taken to our beautifully furnished room which had a great bed. The hotel is converted from a large Thai house with lovely art and furniture throughout. The all-vegetarian food was among the best we experienced compared with upper end Bangkok restaurants and the staff were all extremely attentive and welcoming. The owner, David, was present at every meal and is a good resource for all things Bangkok as well as being an all-around nice guy. That kind of personal attention and the talents of his Harvard-educated landscape architect wife, ensured the quality, intimacy, and beauty of surroundings that we were seeking in a vacation respite while we explored Bangkok. The pool and spa are an added plus.

Stayed at this hotel with my Adult daughter for 4 days. Brilliant hotel. We arrived at about 10.30 am and were shown to a room immediately - even though we were so early in the morning!! Decided to hang by the pool and have lunch. Fantastic meal. Lots of vegetarian dishes and truly authentic thai. The staff are very polite and helpful. Met David (the owner) whilst having lunch. He is an excellent hotelier (or host - as you feel you are staying in his private house). We had a twin studio room. The room is quite large, was very comfortable and clean. Separate bath and shower. Eating in the dining room and sitting around the pool area is amazing. You really do feel like you are staying in a private Thai house. Very personable. We left late on Sunday night so the staff gave us a room from late afternoon until we left so we could shower and change ready for our flight. Not sure if this is what they normally do or whether it was because it was low season but it certainly was very kind of them and we were very appreciative. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the Skytrain which is very convenient for getting around Bangkok. Overall I highly recommend this hotel. So much better than a large impersonable chain hotel. The Spa is also very good. Had a wonderful massage!! Thank you David and staff for a very pleasurable stay.

We stayed here for a few nights on our way to Patong. Europe. Utterly wonderful. We had an amazing suite overlooking the pool. Great food with a fine selection of organic seafood and vegetarian. Exceptional service all round. A real gem in the middle of the bedlam. We recommend to anyone looking for a really beautiful and relaxing hotel.

Room Tip: Ours, and the others we looked in, were great.

Superb very individual hotel in a great original building. The staff are brilliant.....efficient, friendly and very welcoming. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and lovely breakfast(but avoid the vegetarian bacon!). We had the most wonderful split level room...a complimentary upgrade much appreciated...and much enjoyed the pool. A great overnight stay on our way to Sydney...wish we were staying longer.

We were overwhelmed upon our entrance to the hotel. A true pearl in the middle of Bangkok. Everything in Ariyasomvilla is aimed to give to the guest the best experience. I loved the personal welcome letter that waited for me on the bed. I loved that the owner was baking the cakes that being served at dinner as dessert. This is the place to stay and I know that next time I will be in Bangkok , Ariyasomvilla will be my first choice. Truly a place to remember.
