My husband and I recently stayed at Ariyasomvilla. We were delighted with every aspect - the spacious room, decor, delicious breakfast, tropical garden and pool and the attentive service. It was the highlight of our 8 day stay in Thailand!
Highly recommended

We love this hotel. It is small, has a wonderful staff and is perfectly located. We stayed here four years ago and found the same wonderful place but it is showing its age. The room as well as the pool clearly need some refurbishment.

Dear “drlehman”,
Thanks for your review. It was nice to have you back. I’m glad you appreciated the staff and the service.
As regards the upkeep of the hotel we are in fact working almost everyday on renovations. Our issue is that we’ve had a busy season and some rooms are very popular. It’s difficult to take them out of circulation for up to 10 days each ( to ensure no smell of paint and lacquer etc).
Anyway, we are certainly aware and are working hard to ensure that all rooms receive the necessary love and attention.
So if you are back again you will see that the bricks and mortar are up to scratch as well as the staff and service!!
Many thanks

David

Our teenage daughter summed this beautiful hotel up perfectly; "you'd never know something this lovely was in Bangkok!". In total agreement with previous reviewer, it's perfect. We had interconnecting rooms over looking the pool, gardens and canal. They are beautifully furnished with excellent air con. You do get noise from the canal boats but it's Bangkok and it's nice to feel some vibrancy surrounded by this peaceful oasis. Staff were wonderful and you feel like you are staying in a home, in fact when we arrived back from an extremely long day at the floating markets (let down), River Kwai (really interesting) and a stop at Asiatique (avoid) in torrential rain the staff seemed pleased we were back safe and sound. The food is lovely Andrew aforementioned teenager who is so fussy with food was catered for. Really great place.

If you want 5 star same old same old then look away now. This places oozes charm and character. Service is faultless and the owner knows his stuff. So the communal areas don't have AC, so what?? It was lovely to feel the breeze and it gave you a sense of actually being in a different culture. Not hermetically sealed in a tall building.
It's a lovely place. We loved it. Oh, almost forgot, the food's not bad either.
