my stay. : 30th sept - 4th oct ' 09
i remembered booking the hotel 1 month in advance online.
and we were really eager to check out the place. :)

when we checked in. - the lady gave us our room key - 606.
when we opened it.. we saw an empty room with people belongings in it.

immediately, we went down and ask them to checked again.
apparently they gave us the key whom someone left at the reception.
(they make u pay 1000baht deposit for the key just in case u lost it, and expect u to leave their hotel key at the reception when u're gone, yet they pass your key to someone else. isnt that dangerous?)

thus, during that whole stay of ours. we held on to the key ourselves.
ended up. we got room 505 and it was lovely. :)
its small and cozy. like most of the other pictures u saw.
paying for sgd$40 a night was worth it.

however, when i first enter the room, the floor was very sticky.
i actually asked for 2 more extra towels as well during my 5 days stay.

at night.. u can hear the live band playing directly downstairs.
and EVERY NIGHT, they sing the song over and over again.. like a playlist! hahaha!
the walls are actually quite thin, u can hear people walking along the corridor and laughin loudly. still we managed to sleep til 11am :)

the location is really good. we stayed directly 1 road behind KHAOSAN, so the shopping and eating is really not a problem there. the guest and staff counters are generally very nice people. :)

the swimming pool is a really nice hangout to relax. sadly they close alittle early. but the pool is a little dirty.
the moment u enter.. u can feel slimy substances on your body! better wash it off :)

if you are hungry, u can eat directly outside the hotel,
this place call.. " the very nice thai food" ... and if u walk in the other direction of KHAOSAN. u can find this lady selling beef noodle on e street at 30baht.. we eat there every day of our stay. :)

at the end of the day.. you get what you pay right? haha!

overall my stay is lovely. and yes
i will still go back to SleepWithInn in the near future.

We stayed for two nights in Sleep Withinn. The hotel is in a good location, we practically walked to a lot of attractions. Khaosan Rd is like a block away with all its nightlife, and Rambuttri Rd, where the hotel is, is also quite busy day and night (I had no complaints about the outside noise though, but some of our neighbours were pretty loud). The hotel is tiny, so are the rooms, but for two nights it was perfectly fine. Our room was very clean, the design was nice as well. There is a pool on the rooftop, it did look nice, but we had no time to try it.
No breakfast.
Would return.

Sleep Withinn is a "luxury budget" hotel in the Kho San Road area. It offers modern, clean rooms, that although small, they are perfect for the price! If you're looking for a ghetto backpacker paradise, it's not for you and you'll think its too expensive. If your looking for a ritzy place, it's not for you either. But, if you want to be in the Kho San Road area, but want a nicer place (that's not the huge Vengtai) this is perfect!

There is no restaurant or common areas other then the pool (which is also somewhat small, but nice and definitely adequate). The staff was helpful, even if they weren't especially nice.

The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. Our room was small, but clean and also tastefully decorated with Thai artwork. We had the "Double Deluxe" room, and although the bed is big enough for 2, there is not a lot of room for clothes storage... we used the desk for clothes. The bathrooms are traditional Thai Bathrooms with the shower right next to the toilet. The air conditioning works fine, but you need to put your key in the slot to have it turn on. This means your room heats up during the day when your out.

The hotel is on Soi Rambutri, walking distance to AMAZING street food stalls. Directly across from the hotel is Pen Thai restaurant, a whole in the wall place with only outside seating, but possibly our favorite eatery in all of Thailand. Their Bamboo Curry, Green Curry and Pumpkin dishes are more then unbelievable and CHEAP! $70 Bhat will buy a complete meal for 2 including curry, rice and beverage.

If you want to stay in the Kho San Road area and want a bit of luxury for a cheap price and don't mind a smaller room, this is a great choice for you :)

Went there 3 nights before leaving Thailand.
Really nice place but make sure you don't take a room close to the street otherwise it will be too noisy.
It took us 2 hours to change our room as the receptionnists were really ahahheorwhfroedfnasdn !!! no help nothing, the only sentence was "cannot !".

But still, the place was clean, new, we got a good price (special offer).

I stayed at Sleep Withinn for 3 nights after booking on the internet. Although clean, the room was incredibly small. The live music coming from the bar downstairs occurred every night until late and then one could lie awake and enjoy the sounds of drunken hotel guests banging around the corridors for the rest of the night (tile floors, very noisy). On my last evening, the hotel reception kindly called me at 1.30am to check that I had ordered an airport transfer for 5.30am that morning, even though this had been confirmed and paid for the day before. I can't say it was a pleasure to stay there and there is not much opportunity for sleep. Staff could have been more helpful and accommodating. Suitable for partying backpackers with a convenient place to leave their gear while they're in the bar downstairs.

some background: I've previously stayed at D&D INN at nearby khao san road.

Anyway this is a great place to stay, rooms are compact but not cramped, everything was brand new, VERY clean and looks great.

I'm not sure if this is for all rooms but I had a junior suite that included a small fridge and safe(nice!) . The room had an outward facing balcony to Soi Rambuttri, while there was some noise, it was mostly just some great slow rock covers or something, nothing terribly obtrusive to sleep n comfort once the door was closed.

This is a great place to stay if u dont mind paying slightly more for better style and comfort because IMO it is actually worth the diff in price, also since its located parallel to khao san road, one can walk over to experience the unique vibe there without getting disrupted sleep at night as soi rambuttri has a slightly more chillout feel.

Also very nice, after doing the online booking i sent an email a week prior to arrival and was pleasantly surprised that the staff could speak relatively to very good english.
Lastly unlike many of the backpackers hostels/hotels in the area, if u leave a 'pls clean my room' tag on your door, they do clean it rather promptly and very well.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

BTW, the hotel has no restaurant so naturally there is no breakfast offered; for privacy issues: the shower and toilet are located together and only have a transparent sliding door (but with full curtains).
