Rooms were clean, staff helpful. Breakfast not great but served everything from fried rice to salads to bacon and eggs .although must say the chap doing eggs was not impressed if you wanted the eggs any different to what he presented!! We didn't have any dinners there so can't comment. We did have a very helpful taxi driver and didn't mind sitting waiting at markets, shopping centres and even on a night out for dinner. For a small fee he was quite happy to hang around for how-ever long you take. Any excursion was organised very well and on time!! Would prefer to be closer to shops etc.

The facility is the heart of Bangkok close to shopping malls and the temples, the most facinating of which was the Temple of the Emerald Bhuda. There a Tuk-Tuks and bikes to take you anywhere in the city. The food is so nice but I was bit turned off when I found chicken feet as part of their buffet. They like to serve duck meat in their dishes. One of the places one should not miss when visiting Thailand is Pattaya City and the Koh-Lan Island, majestic.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the top most floor to be near the rooftop swimming pool, one of a kind

stayed in chada for 3 nights in february 2014 hotel was very comfortable lovely big soft beds and very clean lovely roof top terrace giving lovely views over bangkok breakfast catered for all nationalities and did decent bacon had to search for eggs as they were on the salad bar location was out of bangkok but easily accesable by the monorail 2 minute walk away plenty of restaurants and street food only 2 minute walk away. taxi fare was 300 bhat from airport to hotel approx 6 pounds so dont be ripped off. just be aware when you check into the hotel the staff will try to get you to book trips from the hotel which are nearly double that you should be paying. they try again the next morning and then they will leave you alone would stay in this hotel again

Room Tip: choose the higher floors if possible quieter rooms

We stayed here for 3 nights in February, it was ok but only that. Rooms were basic, with very little wardrobe space and no drawers. Only 2 lifts so we had to wait for ever to get one!
Breakfast was meagre - no fresh fruit to be seen, mainly Thai food
The biggest problem with this hotel is it's location. It's so far out of the city that once you're up and off, you really have to spend the day and evening out

Stayed for 2 nights, not by choice but because the airline changed our flights and in lieu of change of trip booked us into this hotel. This is my fourth visit to Bangkok and the worse location I've ever stayed in. There is nothing close by for tourists unless you want a foot or back massage down on of the side streets but I doubt they understand English as this is really an area where locals live. As for the hotel, the room, although a 'deluxe' room, had no safe, no tea or coffee making facilities and limited bathroom amenities. But the room was comfortable and clean. Probably better to stay on a higher floor to get away from the noise from a busy road. Nice pool on the 14th floor. For people visiting this hotel for the first time just be aware that they offer to arrange day trips but it is really expensive if booked through them, they offered to take us 'shopping' which I declined as it is considerably cheaper to get into a metered taxi and to tell the driver where to drop you. One good thing about the hotel is the coffee shop on the ground floor, excellent food (price and quality) and friendly service. Also free wifi.

We stayed at the Bangkok Chada for 2 nights while my friend had dental work done across the road at BIDC.
Uncomfortable hard beds, terrible breakfast choices, no door on bathroom.
Would not stay there again

Cons: small elevator.
