Was a good hotel for Bangkok. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Accommodation was good...Our sheets had holes in them and our ceiling above the kitchen was leaking one afternoon. We also had some tradespeople knocking at our door to do plumbing of some sorts? I personally feel like the hotel wasn't finished with fine detail however it was still a lovely place to stay.
The boat that took you to other docks was really helpful and appreciated.
Fantastic breakfast and breakfast selection! Definitely a highlight!

We arrived at this hotel only to be told that the king room we booked and paid for was not available. They told us to wait for an hour, as it was already after 3pm and check in time is 2pm I thought there would be rooms available. Although exhausted we waited and 20 mins later we were told that there was a twin room available. I asked them why the room we had paid for was not available and reception staff replied that they were busy and fully booked. This makes me question why they accepted our payment 2 weeks in advance if they are already fully booked.

I asked reception staff to find us a king room that we had paid for. I was told I would have to wait an hour. I said that they told me 20 mins ago it would take an hour, don't tell me it would take another hour on top of what we had already spent waiting. I explained that we were extremely tired from our flight and would like to freshen up but there was no offer of showers or anywhere to freshen up. I was just told to wait at reception which was extremely busy and very chaotic.

After another 15 mins of waiting, I went to the same guy that had been serving us and told him that I would not write a pleasing review on Trip Advisor if this was not sorted out. He looked freaked out, made a phone call and then within seconds room 3405 on the 34th floor became available. If they had no king rooms available as they claim to have been all fully booked then why did this room suddenly became available? I question the truthfulness of their answer.

Anyway, we finally got into our room which was very spacious and looked clean. However, when my partner started sneezing, I knew it was dusty. Upon closer inspection, I found all surfaces even the black floorboards covered in dust. Even towel railings were dusty. Towels were tatty. Water from the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor as there is a gap between glass shower wall and bathroom floor allowing excess water to leak out resulting in bathroom area getting flooded and very slippery.

This hotel was always crowded and very busy, there was no personality and no personal costumer service. Staff did not know you by name as there were too many guests in that hotel. I got the feeling that the amount of people in this hotel is comparable to hotels that cater for tour groups where there is a high turn over of guests each day.

Lifts took ages to come to the 34th floor particularly around breakfast time. We waited nearly 10 mins for it to come and when it did, it was full and so we couldn't get on and had to wait for another.

On the positive side, the hotel is by the river and has nice gardens surrounding it. Buffet breakfast is great and extensive. There is a shuttle ferry to take you to Sophan Taksin terminal where one can catch the BTS. The hotel is also within walking distance to the new riverside shopping mall called Asiatique. But this hotel is far from the Grand Palace, Wat Pho (reclining Buddha) and Khaosan Rd. Booking tours from this hotel is hugely expensive. I did not see any travel agents in this area. In fact other than Asiatique which is 10-15mins walk there is really nothing around this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a river view. Avoid Room 3405 as it had a view of the building behind it.

Very, very friendly, professional and helpful staff. They really make you feel welcome. We stayed three nights in room 2912 on the 29th floor with river view. Opening the curtains in the morning is like opening a gift. What a view!!
Breakfast is very good including dim sum and other specialties.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to be pampered.
Just make sure that you have the address card from the hotel with you because taxi drivers often do not know where the hotel is.

Room Tip: The higher rooms with river view are the best.

Been here for 3 times and never write anything, this trip is absolutely perfect as always. Our flight was early than our check in time (noon) and of course, room is not yet raedy but staff has accomodate us well at the pool and come from time to time to let contact us with refreshment and advise us of how long does it take ? room is finsihed before noon and we get an upgarded to Suite because they are fully booked.
Concierge is the best and they advised and helped us to book many of restaurants in bangkok for me and my family. Front Desk is helpful and friendly and assisting us to arrange breakfast served by room service on our last day with early morning flight.
Pool is great and staff are all attentive. In general our family are very happy with this hotel (first time for them) and my kids asked me to bring him back again here in mid 2013. The only downside is the wifi in the room that real weak and always disconnect.

Room Tip: Suite with river view

First of all, it’s nice to have shuttle boat to BTS station from hotel. It really feels like staying Bangkok liver side. Variety breakfast. Good Wi-Fi connection, simple and nice quiet room. Easy to access BTS, express boat.
One of hotels we would like to stay again.

Room Tip: liver side view

Cool and contemporary, this hotel was everything we wanted. Upgraded to a suite on 26th floor, the view was spectacular across the city and the night skyline breathtaking from the glass walled room. Riverside location made sightseeing a breeze with courtesy water taxi from hotel to sky train pier running every half hour and plenty to watch from hotel terrace bar. Good choice of food and great coffee made breakfast a pleasurable start to the day.
