Background - I stay in hotels in Asia for 9 months of the year so I have a great opportunity to compare
This was meant to be a romantic weekend with my wife. Arriving at the hotel around 7pm after travelling for some time we were advised that our room was not ready, which was a surprise.
We where advised that the only restaurant was a buffet or Chinese, so we as it was getting late we decided on room service, a somewhat contradiction 'service' eventually got our food which was either not cooked of had been cooked for many hours so was tough, it was supposed to be hot but was tepid to cold.
At the same time we ordered wine from the wine list only to be told they only had one red and one white which for a hotel in this category is terrible. This meant a visit to a local store to find a decent wine. Not a particular good start to a 'romantic weekend'.
The hotel has difficulty in understanding 'do not disturb' This was displayed on our door, so house keeping decided to ring the telephone to ask if we wanted our room making up. Do not disturb should mean that unless in the case of emergency.More
