If you are staying Bangkok, this service apartment should be on the top of your list. Quiet and better service and convenient to anywhere by BTS. Walk distance to the both Silom commercial area and Siam.Small but useful store located on the just near from. But , this time, we found lot of noisy people stayed there. They are just noisy. Their kids ruined every where, they are keep almost whole dishes at breakfast buffet. Bringing their own lunch boxes to put meals frm breakfast buffet. Loud music.. Talking loudly in the corridor and restaurant and other public space. If This service apartment will continue to accept these kind of guest, We won't stay this apart anymore.

This hotel has the worst breakfast in it's class in Bangkok. The food is not fresh and has no taste. Selection and the quality of the breakfast buffet is extremely poor. I highly recommend you to avoid paying for breakfast. The quality of the food does not complement the luch and dinner menu. You will be better of going for breakfast to the other near by locations.
The rooms are very spacious but you can hear anything that goes on at the next door.
Limited sun at the pool...if you are in to tanning.
Location is perfect, close to BTS and walking distance to shopping district.

Room Tip: try to book corner rooms with balconies in order to avoid the noise from next door and do not pay fo...

The suite is quite furnished. However I feel cheated as there is no balcony!!! It's website states that all room have a balcony and that's why I have not make such request! It' rather disappointing. The photo od the pool seems great but the sun deck n the pool are of different levels, it is a bit weird. There are just too few the staff to provide welcoming services when there are more than one party asking for information.

Room Tip: Don't be cheated. If you want a balcony, you have to make such request. A view facing the golf c...

I was pleasantly surprised by this serviced suite. Anantara is in a good location situated very close to Lumpini Park (a few blocks to walk to) and close to the Rachadamri BTS (a short block walk, but there is a shuttle - nice golf cart - that takes you to the station.)

The rooms were very well-designed. First, the bathrooms were large and very clean. In traveling to Bangkok, I am always disappointed in the size of the showers, but Anantara's shower was quite large. The king bed and the pillows were soft, comfortable, and good quality. Normally I find about five or ten things in a room that just seem to be broke or improperly designed, but Anantara had everything done right.

The breakfast buffet is one of the best ones that I have ever had in Thailand. I generally enjoy having salads in the morning, and they had fresh broccoli, avocados, lettuce, and a variety of other vegetables. The typical breakfast fare seemed very fresh. There is a workout facility that is not bad (some free weights and a few machines), but you would likely find better facilities at other locations. The swimming pool was nice, but if you are looking for a lot of sun, then this is not the facility since it seems to be covered with shade quite a bit.

Anantara can be a little hard to find, since it is on a small soi, so make sure you have the address with you (and even a map.) It actually sits across the street from the rear of the U.S. Embassy. There is also a Villa Market that is less than a few hundred yards for groceries.

Only negative I could find (after three days) was the typical confusion between what was agreed to on the Internet booking site and what they wanted to charge. Make sure you have the print out to what was the agreed to price (and whether VAT or other service charges are included.)

Again, if you are interested in a nice room, especially the bathroom / bedroom areas, and you want to be near the best park in Bangkok (Lumpini), then this is an excellent choice for a place to stay.

The suites are very comfortable. It's nicely decorated and the suites (trendy and new) have lots of extra space. It's perfect for small families. They provided a nice (and new) pack and play for our baby to sleep in (which sometimes in Asia is hard to find!). We used their babysitting service and they were nice and professional. The cafe has some good breakfast options. The pool was nice, but the water was freezing. The hotel location is great - 5 minute walk to the skytrain (and very close to the nice malls). The hotel staff needs some good training, they lack many things. Yet again, in terms of value, it's a great option. We took advantage of an offer and booked 4 nights but paid for 3. It was a great deal and we were not disappointed.

The Anantara is also good for those traveling on business and planning an extended stay. It's almost like having a small apartment.

I have been staying in this hotel on and off for the past 2 years and love the location. The BTS Skytrain is about 100m from the hotel in central Bangkok. The rooms are decent and a fair value for the area. Where this hotel takes a hit is in the cafe. The food and service are very uneven and usually below average, but the prices are much higher than comparable cafes in the area. If you're desperate and it's raining buckets (as so often is the case in April and May in Bangkok), get the Thai specialties. Avoid Western food - it's dreadful.
Better yet, walk to Le Notre on Soi Langsuan (about 100m). Their food, service and venue are tops in the class. Ninth Cafe is just up the street. Mokka is a casual cafe on Sarasin (near the park). If you're really adventurous try the food vendors at Lumpini Park - try the hot pot vendor (she also makes a mean spicy ramen with seafood or try a spicy pomelo salad). Most of the food at Lumpini if 5* hot. Wash it down (and cool it off) with a 20 baht fruit shake - the best I've tasted in Bangkok.
Wherever you go, (unless breakfast is included in your rate) make sure it's not the Anantara cafe

A 4 nights stay in the city. The hotel is one stop away on the Skytrain from Siam Square. The closest station is the BTS Rajadamri, about 200 metres from the hotel. I stayed in a one bedroom premier suite which had good views over the lake and sports ground and it was very clean and serviced regularly. Room service was prompt and of a high quality with reasonable prices. The bathroom was spacious and had a good shower. There were two flat screen TVs with a DVD player. Breakfast in the cafe was adequate, but somewhat lacking in variety after a few days. The gym was well equiped and there were two young trainers who were willing to give advice and help out whenever possible. The pool was nice but as previously noted, the water was really cold as it is not really heated by the sun. All in all a very comfortable stay if you want a quiet place away from the main strip of Sukhumvit and Silom but still nearby enough for access to everything. I would highly recommend it. I could not fault anything apart from the pool temperature.
