Arrived late at night and were collected at airport by the hosts of this wonderful B&B . Everything was perfection, from the welcome cup of tea on arrival to booking a taxi on our departure.
Tasma has created a beautiful "home from home" for weary travellers. Attention to detail is second to none. We had the room with the lovely private balcony and antique furniture from her Grandfather's time. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Tasma and Jason were wonderful hosts and their staff was very friendly and helpful. Again this was a beautiful and peaceful place. The room was great! Breakfast were delicious. The location near the pier made it easy to get around on the river. Found a great restaurant near the pier caleed " Queen of Curry'. A jewel of a lttle place. Unbelievable curry. Up the street towards the pier second right. Thai people are very kind. Bangkok is very busy and fast place. This was a nice refuge! Logan the dog was great!

This guest house is a true gem; from our arrival when we were met with refreshing cloths to wipe our tired faces and delightful tea, to our final good-bye, the service here was incredible. The present owners, Tesma and Jason, have lovingly restored Tesma's grandfather's home creating a B&B that retains colonial atmosphere while allowing for modern conveniences. There are several areas for sitting and visiting with other guests as well as a book exchange.

Our room was spacious, by Thai standards, and had a small balcony looking out onto the pool. Breakfasts included fresh fruit, eggs of some sort, a variety of breads, yogurt and, often, a Thai dish. Tea, French press coffee and freshly squeezed juice were also there.

The location is a five minute walk to a sky train terminal, and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the central pier for the Chao Praya express boats. I do need to comment on the noise that other reviewers have spoken of. There is certainly noise from the expressway nearby, and the first night there I did notice it. However, earplugs are provided, and by our second day at Baan Pra Nond, I did not use them and slept soundly every night.

Tesma and Jason are very willing to suggest things to do and visit as well as making reservations for dinner. They were able to, at the last minute, get five of us the best table at a 5 star restaurant on New Years Eve.

I arrived hot & tired after a 24 hour trip & they welcomed me with a refreshing cold cloth for my face & hands as well as a much needed cold drink. I was promptly shown to my room which was beautiful & spacious with warm little touches like bottled water to help you settle in.

The pool area is picturesque & well maintained with fresh towels; I made sure to have a dip later that same evening. Though the B&B is located on a very busy road you don't hear any traffic noise. The B&B is literally around the corner from the central pier which is the main boat terminal, from where you can explore the city with ease at minimal cost. On the way to the ferry terminal there is also a skytrain station plus another one in the opposite direction.

Because it's located on a busy main road it is slightly difficult to cross to the other side to get to the local pubs & restaurants. They were brilliant at helping your work out the safest way to get where you wanted to go as well as provide maps & a business card in case you got lost & needed to tell as tuk-tuk driver how to get you home.

I left very early the next morning for the train to the Cambodian border & they kindly packed me a little lunchbox for the train trip, complete with juice, the best ham & cheese sandwich I've ever had & a little snack which I thought was a wonderful little touch.

The only negative was that I accidentally broke one of the glass body wash holders in the shower & the owner insisted that I pay 100 baht to replace it.

A quaint little B&B full of charm and good taste! Clean rooms and common areas. Staff and owners are friendly and engaging. Close to the LRT and river ferry system. Some excellent Foodie grade restaurants within easy walking distance. The white-noise whirr of the AC drowns out most of the road noise and hasn't affected our sleep. Our first visit to Bangkok and fully impressed!

We spent 3 nights in Baan Pra Nond and are extremely happy with our choice! The location is pretty convenient (less than 5 min walk from Surasak BTS) and close to the river. We had the Master Suite, which is lovely and spacious (easily fitted a cot for our daughter) and has a nice-sized bathroom as well as balcony area overlooking the pool. Breakfast was great - every day was something different, and they even made child-sized portions for our daughter. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the free wifi is also a bonus.

Due to the location (between two large roads) it can be a touch noisy, however this was not a problem for us at all (our daughter slept like a log all 3 nights!), and they do provide earplugs in the room if you need them.

Overall, a great stay, and we will certainly consider coming back next time we are in Bangkok!

We chose this B&B a bit off the cuff as we did not do a lot of research beforehand. What a good choice this was! Tasma and staff are very friendly and helpful with lots of tips about the bustling city of Bangkok. The location is a bit noisy, but considering that you are in the middle of a Metropolis, what is to be expected.
The hotel is located close to Surasak BRT station and within 10 minutes of the ferry pier.
The building is beautifully restored and decorated in style
The breakfast was great, every day a different surprise in what we would get!

So when the night train from Chiang Mai was cancelled and we had to fly to Bangkok the night before, we knew where to return to for the night!!

Oh and not to forget.... they have a beagle pup!!!

Room Tip: We had room 8 and room 6, both standard. We liked room 8 better, as it is a little farther from the...
